Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) represents a significant worldwide health issue, experiencing an increasing incidence rate. Effective dietary strategies are vital for T2DM management, but the optimal patterns remain debated due to inconsistent research outcomes and single-outcome reporting. Network Meta-Analysis (NMA) provides powerful approach integrating data from randomized controlled trials (RCTs), enabling detailed evaluation of impact different patterns. This document presents our strategy systematic review network meta-analysis, aimed at assessing influence key on glycemic control, lipid profiles, weight management in individuals with Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM).

Considering the increasing prevalence of diabetes, we aimed to evaluate risk diabetes in our sample and its relationship with sociodemographic nutrition-related factors. We conducted study Afyonkarahisar province Turkiye participants aged 18-65 years. In this face-to-face study, used a questionnaire on information general dietary habits FINDRISC screening tool. also recorded participants' 24-hour food recall assessed anthropometric measurements. analyzed epidemiological data using binary logistic regression models assess possible factors associated presence risk. Overall, included 3,990 participants, 50.03% (n = 1996) 49.97% 1994) whom were males females, respectively. The score was higher females (p 0.001), married individuals < those lower education levels diagnosed disease by doctor 0.001). Additionally, having body mass index (BMI) > 30 kg/m2 increased 7.33 folds compared BMI 25 kg/m2. Significant but very low correlation coefficients found between main meal consumption, energy, lipid iron intake Our findings suggest that age, BMI, level, diagnosis can be significant for diabetes. However, more studies are needed clarify factors, especially related nutrition.

Background/Objectives: This study compares dietary and physical activity (PA) habits between Spanish adults with without diabetes analyzes the association PA, sociodemographic variables, adherence to nutritional recommendations among individuals diabetes. Methods: A cross-sectional case–control was conducted using data from 2020 European Health Survey for Spain (EESE). Diabetes PA levels were self-reported. Each participant matched a control by age, gender, region of residence. Food intake assessed food frequency questionnaire, guidelines evaluated based on Agency Safety Nutrition. The classified as “sedentary/low” or “moderate/high”. Results: total 2053 pairs analyzed. participants adhered significantly more than those (6.19 vs. 5.30; p < 0.001). However, 88.6% reported sedentary low levels. Among diabetes, women showed better recommendations, while men higher Moderate/high associated greater (OR 1.991; 95% CI: 1.201–3.146). Older age also positively adherence. Conclusions: Although demonstrated controls, most Higher levels, female older linked people use self-reported made it impossible judge whether under- over-reported their status. Public health strategies should aim promote both healthy eating in this population.

Aims/Background Medication therapy is a crucial measure for type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). However, approximately 50% of patients in China fail to achieve their blood glucose control targets despite receiving hypoglycemic treatment. Studies have indicated that clinical inertia often key factor contributing poor long-term most patients. This study aims investigate the factors influencing treatment process using metformin. Methods A retrospective method was adopted, and 86 T2DM treated with metformin who between June 2021 2023 at Zhejiang Hospital were as group. Additionally, 87 received same medication follow-up evaluation without during period selected By comparing general data, family economic situations, lifestyle, conditions two groups, logistic multivariate analysis model used analyze Results The proportion male those an elementary education or below significantly higher group compared (p < 0.05). commercial insurance practicing dietary lower Furthermore, had initial glycated hemoglobin levels ≥8.0%, conducting home monitoring, diabetes-related complications, health Male gender (odds ratio (OR) = 3.487, p 0.001), (OR 2.362, 0.027), lack 3.783, 0.005), absence monitoring 3.127, 0.007), complications 2.995, 0.006), chronic disease 2.753, 0.017) identified risk Conclusion relatively high associated various factors. Targeted intervention measures should be implemented high-risk populations reduce inertia.

There is scarce research focusing on the relationship between low-carbohydrate dietary score and development of a metabolically unhealthy phenotype. Therefore, this cohort study was designed to assess association risk phenotypes (MUP). This included 1299 adults with healthy metabolic profiles who were followed for 5.9 years. Results indicated an inverse second tertile developing obesity (MUO) (HR: 0.76, 95% CI: 0.59–0.98). In addition, we found MUO 0.77, 0.60–0.99). Our results revealed nonlinear MUP only in subjects overweight or obesity. independent animal protein fat intake. Also, that lower intake carbohydrates associated

Introduction: The worldwide prevalence of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and obesity has been steadily increasing over the past four decades, with projections indicating a significant rise in number affected individuals by 2045. Therapeutic interventions T2DM aim to control blood glucose levels reduce risk complications. Dietary lifestyle modifications play crucial role management obesity. While conventional medical nutritional therapy (MNT) often promotes high-carbohydrate, low-fat Mediterranean diet as an elective treatment, low-carbohydrate diets (LCDs), specifically those restricting carbohydrate intake less than 130 g/day, have gained popularity due their multifaceted benefits. Scientific research supports efficacy LCDs improving glycemic control, weight loss, pressure, lipid profiles, overall quality life. However, sustaining these benefits long term remains challenging. This trial aimed compare effects vs. (carbohydrate < g/day) on overweight/obese patients 16-week period. study will evaluate differential regulation, reduction, profile, cardiovascular factors. Methods: population comprises 100 poorly controlled T2DM. Anthropometric measurements, bioimpedance analysis, chemistry assessments be conducted at baseline after intervention Both dietary were hypocaloric, focus maintaining 500 kcal/day energy deficit. Results: After 16 weeks, both had positive various parameters, including renal function. appears result greater reduction BMI, waist circumference, levels, risk, markers, metabolic parameters compared follow up. Conclusions: These findings suggest that may more effective promoting loss factors it is important note further needed understand clinical implications long-term sustainability findings.
