Addiction is a complex neurobiological disorder characterized by compulsive drug-seeking and use despite harmful consequences. While abstinence-based approaches have long been the cornerstone of addiction treatment, recent years seen legitimate challenges from harm reduction clinicians, within food realm, eating treatment practitioners. This study aimed to adapt the Psychological Food Involvement Scale (PFIS) Turkish culture and test its validity reliability. The PFIS measures individuals' psychological, emotional, social relationships with food, which significantly impact eating behaviors health. was conducted 478 participants aged 18–65. underwent a six-stage translation cultural adaptation process. Data collection carried out via Google Forms, completing general information form, PFIS, Addiction-like Eating Behavior (ALEBS). Reliability assessed using test-retest method. SPSS 24 used for statistical evaluation, including internal consistency coefficient calculations, factor analysis, correlation tests. Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin value 0.94, indicating an adequate sample size, Bartlett's of sphericity significant (p < 0.05). Exploratory analysis revealed four-factor structure explaining 79% variance, loadings > 0.40 eigenvalues 1. Confirmatory showed good fit indices: χ2 /sd = 2.28, GFI 0.95, AGFI 0.93 CFI 0.98, NFI RMSEA 0.05, SRMR 0.04). Background: The crucial adolescent period demands greater nutritional needs along with physical maturity where overweight can lead to sensitivity towards body image. Excessive appearance concern results in faulty eating habits and complementary behavioral approaches known as disorders (ED). Aim: Due inconsistencies prior information regarding ED on Bengalee females, the cross-sectional study was conducted school females of rural urban areas North 24 Parganas district insights prevalence, anthropometric parameters risk factors ED.
