Migraine
is
a
common
neurological
illness
that
causes
great
burden
on
individuals
and
society.
Many
migraine
patients
seek
relief
through
complementary
alternative
therapies,
with
Traditional
Chinese
medicine
(TCM)
often
being
their
preferred
choice.
Acupuncture,
herbal
medicine,
massage
are
important
components
of
TCM,
commonly
used
in
clinical
treatment
migraine.
This
review
aims
to
consolidate
the
current
knowledge
regarding
mechanisms
three
TCM
interventions
for
migraine:
acupuncture,
herbs,
massage,
how
they
relieve
pain.
However,
underlying
effectiveness
therapies

unclear.

Tryptophan
(TRP)

the
gastrointestinal
tract,

nervous

microbiota.
Initially

on
serotonin
pathway

itself,
many
studies
are
now
focusing
kynurenine
pathway,
with
an
increasing
interest

pathway.
Several
metabolites
have
been
associated
migraines,
suggesting
that
may
serve
a
potential
therapeutic
target.
However,
these
significant
limitations,
including
small
number
of
participants,
lack
standardized
diets
prior
to
and/or
during
clinical
trials,
insufficient
information
regarding
transformation
after
its
intake.
Furthermore,
no
thorough
study
encompasses
all
essential
components
