Background: Immigration is a key factor contributing to population growth in Canada, trend that expected continue. Immigrants generally arrive with better health than the Canadian-born population, but this advantage often diminishes over time, partially due dietary acculturation. Emerging evidence points bidirectional link between nutrition and mental health. Objective: To explore relationship its impact on of Canadian immigrants, specific focus immigrants’ healthy immigrant effect. Methods: For integrative review, two comprehensive literature searches were conducted databases MEDLINE, CINAHL, Embase, PsycINFO, Scopus, Web Science from inception July 2024. The review adhered Whittemore Knafl’s methodology, Mixed Methods Assessment Tool used assess quality studies. Results: A total 42 34 scientific articles included first second searches, respectively. Four main themes emerged literature: (1) food insecurity health, (2) obesity (3) diet (4) gut microbiome These explored context Conclusions: immigrants Canada likely shaped by complex, interactions among various determinants influencing both physical well-being. As newcomers are form an increasing proportion further research needed understand how interaction can help promote safeguard immigrants.
