Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) induces immunological and autonomic imbalances. Exercise is a beneficial strategy for controlling IBD symptoms. We investigated the role of exercise on gastrointestinal (GI) motility changes parameters in rats with ileitis. Rats were divided into control, ileitis, exercise+ileitis groups. Ileitis was induced by TNBS (40 mM, intraileally). The swimming (1 h/day/4 weeks, 5%/bw). assessed eating behaviour oxidative stress. Body composition bioimpedance. Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a functional gastrointestinal disorder characterized by abdominal pain, bloating, and altered habits. Women are disproportionately affected IBS due to complex interplay between genetic, environmental, psychosocial factors, along with crucial role of the gut–brain axis in modulating both function pain perception. Evidence suggests strong association psychological distress symptoms. report higher levels compared men, sex biological variable that shapes several aspects mechanisms, epidemiology, clinical manifestations IBS. This paper explores bidirectional relationship factors focus on women. Stress, anxiety, depression, childhood trauma contribute symptomatology, societal unique women may exacerbate this condition. Strategies for integrated care approaches gender-specific treatment strategies improve patient outcomes quality life needed.

The benefits of regular physical activity (PA) on disease prevention and treatment outcomes have been recognized for centuries. However, only recently has interorgan communication triggered by the release "myokines" from contracting skeletal muscles emerged as a putative mechanism which exercise confers protection against numerous states. Cross-talk between active gut microbiota reveal how PA boosts host immunity, facilitates more diverse microbiome functional metabolome, plays positive role in energy homeostasis metabolic regulation. In contrast, despite large interindividual variation human microbiome, reduced microbial diversity implicated several diseases gastrointestinal (GI) tract, systemic immune diseases, cancers. Although prolonged, intense, weight-bearing conducted extreme conditions can increase intestinal permeability, compromising gut-barrier function resulting both upper lower GI symptoms, these are transient benign. Accordingly, become an attractive target modulating many effects health disease, although precise dose required to induce favourable changes enhance immunity is currently unknown. Future efforts should concentrate gaining deeper understanding factors involved exercise-gut interactions through generation 'omics readouts (ie, metatranscriptomics, metaproteomics, metabolomics) that potential identify traits linked states, validating experimental preclinical systems. Purpose of review To provide an update recent studies exploring the role gut microbiota and diet in pathogenesis treatment irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Recent findings The human microbiome has been recognized as important, active source signaling molecules that explain part disorder brain interaction (DGBI) IBS. Subsequent changes metabolome such production short-chain fatty acids (SCFA) serotonin are associated with IBS symptoms. Dietary components important triggers symptoms a low fermentable oligo-, di-, monosaccharides, polyols (FODMAPs) shown effective safe, even when used long-term. Fecal transplantation (FMT) not sustained symptom reduction controlled clinical trials. Summary This elucidates developments it relates to trial results targeting dietary interventions. is metabolically affects bi-directional gut-brain axis.

Background: Chronic constipation is a well-recognized complication which caused by hard and/or infrequent defecation. According to estimates, presents as chronic illness affecting 16% of adults globally, who deal with insufficient bowel movements that cause discomfort, bloating, or sensation incomplete bowel. Objectives: This review looks at the many local and systemic factors contribute pathogenesis causative, including dietary habits, genetic factors, colon function absorption, social economic lifestyle, biological drug factors. Results: Appropriate diagnostic management modalities are cornerstone in patients constipation. However, there still controversies regarding timing these approaches. condition common reduces quality life represents burden on any healthcare system. In clinical practice, it remains problematic, physicians most time indecisive therapy administer what time. Conclusions: Constipation new topic was introduced over decade ago purpose this study shed some light onto problems modern day techniques can be used treat patients, primarily through behavioural, conservative, medical, surgical means. Additionally, particular conjunction an algorithm designed enhance support practice.

Abstract Background Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a prevalent yet intricate gastrointestinal condition that poses substantial challenges in both diagnosis and treatment. The lack of definitive diagnostic markers the focus on symptom-based therapies often result inadequate relief for patients, leading to frustration psychological distress. In areas where access healthcare limited, uncertainty surrounding IBS frequently drives patients explore alternative treatments, including traditional medicine, which can potentially worsen or introduce new health risks. Aim This case report study aimed examine underappreciated role exercise as viable treatment IBS, shedding light shortcomings current therapeutic practices. It provides an important perspective presents highly effective non-pharmacological intervention underutilized clinical practice Ethiopia.

Background/Objectives: Physical exercise can have significant consequences for the gastrointestinal tract, which is why there been studies into its influence on treatment of conditions such as colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), and irritable syndrome (IBS), being that epidemiological evidence has a protective effect against colon cancer. This review aims to demonstrate mechanisms action physical in well benefits associated with digestive system, addition gathering training recommendations treating different diseases. Results: modulates motility, permeability, immune responses, microbiota composition, both beneficial adverse effects depending intensity duration. Regular moderate improved quality life IBD IBS, reduced cancer risk, potential symptom relief constipation. However, high-intensity may exacerbate gastroesophageal reflux symptoms increase risk bleeding. While aerobic extensively studied, resistance health remain underexplored. Conclusions: New methodologies techniques, molecular biology study gastric receptors, led advances understanding changes exercise.
