Abstract Background The increase in monkeypox (Mpox) incidence underscores the crucial need to understand and effectively address prevention, early detection, agile response this disease. Additionally, Cochran's Q statistics applied assess heterogeneity studies. Results total 299 articles retrieved from 5 databases. This 27 sample 22,327 participants, which 57.13% women. 15 countries through online survey. The spread of monkeypox (mpox) worldwide poses a severe threat to human life. This virus leads disease with symptoms similar smallpox in humans. To combat this threat, improving public knowledge and perception toward mpox is vital for health preventive measures.A cross-sectional survey was carried out Yemen from December 2022 March 2023 investigate mpox. Individuals were approached through social media platforms using convenient sampling approach. Linear regression used determine the association between participants' (dependent variable) explanatory variables.A total 853 individuals consented take part study. A significant proportion respondents had low level (N=572, 67.06%). Most participants knew about nature diseases (75%, n=641), transmission mode (78.1%, n=668), hand sanitizer measures, skin- related symptoms. However, only 20.8% (n= 178) that diarrhea not symptom, 25.4% 217) antibiotics are unnecessary management. 57.7% (n=492) feared mpox, 47.7% 407) thought it conspiracy. good local international authorities controlling disease. Age, education level, having health-related certificate, receiving 2-dose vaccination COVID-19 statistically associations (P < 0.05). Social most often information source (78.3%, n= 668), followed by articles (41.1%, n=351).The study reveals Yemen, emphasizing need targeted educational campaigns, especially via media, strengthen measures control. The majority of monkeypox (Mpox) cases in the 2022 outbreak have been traced back to mass gathering events May, primarily among men who sex with (MSM). While some quantitative studies exist literature, focusing mainly on link between Mpox knowledge, conspiracy theories, and vaccination hesitancy, there is a dearth qualitative or mixed-method research that examines beliefs surrounding this phenomenon, particularly including LGBTQIA+ groups. This study's primary objective delve into associated media's portrayal connection MSM during initial period. A total 333 participants, 212 cisgender women, 110 men, 11 individuals identifying other genders, took part an online quali-quantitative survey conducted June Italy. aimed explore participants' perceptions Mpox, their knowledge about it, attitudes towards sexuality. final thematic structure revealed hierarchical arrangement themes, encompassing: (1) linkage MSM, elucidated through risky sexual behaviours contextual factors; (2)The absence any connection, explained causal effects general mistrust society.
