Millions
of
people
worldwide
are
affected
by
leishmaniasis,
caused
the
Leishmania
parasite.
Effective
treatment
is
challenging
due
to
biological
complexity
parasite,
drug
toxicity,
and
increasing
resistance
conventional
drugs.
To
combat
this
disease,
development
specific
strategies
target
selectively
eliminate
parasite
crucial.
This
Review
highlights
importance
amino
acids
in
developmental
stages
as
a
factor
determining
whether
infection
progresses
or
suppressed.
It
also
explores
use
peptides
alternatives
control
novel
targeted
treatments.
While
these
show
promise
for
more
effective
treatment,
further
studies
address
remaining
challenges
imperative.

Abstract
Rarely

and
epidemiologic

such

Nevertheless,

COVID-19,

by
SARS-CoV-2,
is
among

deadliest
pandemics
past
few
centuries
(the
others
being
1918
influenza
pandemic
HIV/AIDS

review
compares
epidemiologic,
immunologic,
virologic
SARS-CoV-2
with
