This study aims to evaluate the potential benefits and challenges of integrating oral microbiome research into clinical management potentially malignant disorders (OPMD) squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). The has gained significant attention for its role in pathogenesis progression these conditions, with emerging evidence suggesting value as a diagnostic prognostic tool. By critically analyzing current methodological considerations, this manuscript examines whether analysis biopsy samples can aid early detection, prognosis, OPMD OSCC. complexity dynamic nature require multifaceted approach fully understand utility. Based on review, we conclude that studying context holds promise but also faces notable challenges, including variability need standardization. Ultimately, addresses question, “Should such be undertaken, given intricate interactions various factors inherent obstacles involved?”, emphasizes importance further optimize applications improve patient outcomes.

The scientific literature dealing with alcohol and alcoholic beverages revealed that these drinks possess an adverse impact on periodontal tissues. Additionally, other principal risk factors include tobacco, smoking, poor oral hygiene, etc. It has been observed among chronic alcoholics, there are further issues, such as mental, social, physical effects, promote alcoholism. These people may have weak immunity for defense against pathogenic organisms bacteria. Thus, chances of gingival bleeding, swollen gums, bad breath, increased bone loss there. Different in the market cause less salivation; contain sugars acid production cavity by pathogens demineralize enamel damage gum teeth. This consumption can progress into different types disorders, including cancer, halitosis, caries, is also associated tobacco smoking. Chronic alteration microbiome increase pathogens, which lead to disease environment inflammation created body due malnutrition, diminished immunity, altered liver condition, brain damage, gut microbiota alteration. Heavily colored produce staining teeth and, saliva, toxic effects periodontium. Over-dependency leads necrotizing lesions gingivitis, periodontitis, stomatitis. pathological impairments instigate severe structures. Therefore, proper counseling attending dental surgeon related health professionals urgently required patient basis individual case needs go away from regular heavy alcohol.

The advancement of high-throughput sequencing technology in recent decades has led to a greater understanding the components oral microbiota, providing solid foundation for extensive research this field. microbiota plays an important role individual’s overall health. It been shown be significantly correlated with chronic human diseases, including diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, cardiovascular disease, periodontal and Alzheimer’s disease. Furthermore, tumor occurrence development are closely related microbiome. Specific bacteria, such as Fusobacterium nucleatum ( F. ), Porphyromonas gingivalis P. Streptococcus , Streptomyces Prevotella Fibrophagy gingivalis, play critical roles cancer development. various oncogenic mechanisms, bacterial inflammation, immunological suppression, growth mediated by toxins, antiapoptotic activity, carcinogenic effects. This paper reviews progression systematically elucidates molecular mechanisms which dysbiosis influences tumorigenesis progression. information can provide theoretical basis exploring treatment strategies offer new insights prevention.

Few researches have explored the production of pharmaceuticals from aquatic plants. Therefore, this study explored, for first time, phytochemical composition and bioactivities ten Aquatic plant shoots various Nile River canals were collected, dried, ground aqueous extract preparation. Phytochemical antioxidant capacity assessed using DPPH assays. Extracts tested antiparasitic, antibacterial, anti-biofilm, anticancer activities through standard in vitro assays, measuring IC50 values, evaluating mechanisms action, including cell viability high-content screening The results showed that plants rich pharmaceutical compounds. these extracts exceeded vitamin C. promising antiparasitic activity against pathogens like Opisthorchis viverrini Plasmodium falciparum, with values between 0.7 2.5 µg/mL. They also demonstrated low MICs pathogenic bacteria, causing DNA damage, increased plasma membrane permeability, 90% biofilm inhibition. In terms activity, effective a panel cancer lines, Ludwigia stolonifera exhibiting highest efficacy. Its ranged 0.5 µg/mL pancreatic, esophageal, colon cells to 1.5 gastric cells. Overall, all below 6 µg/mL, showing significant apoptotic nuclear intensity, mitochondrial cytochrome c release, outperforming doxorubicin. This highlights potential as sources new, safe, drugs strong properties.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is influenced by perturbations in the colonic microbiota, characterized an imbalance favoring pathogenic bacteria over beneficial ones. This dysbiosis contributes to CRC initiation and progression through mechanisms such as carcinogenic metabolite production, inflammation induction, DNA damage, oncogenic signaling activation. Understanding role of external factors shaping microbiota crucial for mitigating progression. study aims elucidate gut microbiome’s analyzing paired tumor mucosal tissue samples obtained from colon walls 17 patients. Through sequencing V3-V4 region 16S rRNA gene, we microbiome assessed its association with clinical variables. Our findings revealed a significant reduction alpha diversity within compared biopsy samples, indicating less diverse microbial environment microenvironment. While both tissues exhibited dominance similar bacterial phyla, their relative abundances varied, suggesting potential colon-specific effects. Fusobacteriota enrichment, notably right colon, may be linked MLH1 deficiency. Taxonomy analysis identified genera, some primarily associated wall others unique this region. Conversely, several genera were exclusively expressed tissue. Functional biomarker three key genes differential abundance between microenvironment tissue, distinct metabolic activities. abundance: K11076 (putrescine transport system) K10535 (nitrification) enriched microenvironment, while K11329 (SasA-RpaAB circadian timing mediator) dominated Metabolic pathway seven pathways microbiome. Collectively, these highlight alterations strongly suggest that long-term profoundly impacts
