Introduction. Flavonoids, despite their pronounced therapeutic benefits, are limitedly used in medicine as active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) owing to a complex of unsatisfactory physicochemical properties. In order study the mentioned problem, we decided use quercetin model compound with extremely low water solubility and dissolution gastrointestinal (GI) tract media. Therefore, main idea appears possibility prospects hot melt extrusion (HME) application for enhancement properties composition solid dispersion system (SDS) based on hydrophilic polymeric carrier (polyvinylpyrrolidone vinyl acetate, PVP/VA). Consequently, there is necessity select effective drug-to-polymer ratio providing better Aim. Assessment PVP/VA effect binary prepared by HME. Materials methods. Species belonging to the genus Echinophora (Apiaceae) have been used by humanity since ancient times as flavoring agents, preservatives, and medicines for treatment of a broad spectrum conditions, including respiratory, digestive kidney disorders, fungi infections, wounds, gastric ulcers. Phytochemical studies on this botanical mainly investigate essential oil composition reveal species rich source volatile compounds, monoterpenes phenylpropanoids. Among non-volatile secondary metabolites, flavonoids, coumarins, phenolic acids, phytosterols, polyacetylenes identified. Pharmacological revealed extracts oils exhibit different biological properties, antibacterial, antifungal, anticancer, insecticidal, anti-inflammatory, hepatoprotective activities. However, compared other genera, activity chemical diversity are not well studied. In future decades, it is highly likely that small will play an important role in drug discovery development.

Many natural products (NPs) exhibit strong antioxidant activity, making them valuable for various applications. In this context, the emergence of deep eutectic solvents (DESs) is expected to help address growing demand innovative, efficient, and more sustainable methods NPs extraction. DESs are designer that provide higher yields enhance activity extracted phytochemicals compared with conventional volatile organic solvents. Antioxidant naturally occurring molecules can also form DESs, either as hydrogen bond donors (HBD) or acceptors (HBA), creating DES (NADES) inherent activity. Thus, containing exert synergistic effects, entire system a promising active ingredient food industry The synergy arises from enhanced solubilization stabilization in through bonding, ionic interactions, van der Waals forces. Collectively, enable effectively neutralize oxidants (such ROS free radicals) regulate their reactions other molecules, achieving up 3-fold increase extracts regular vitro. This Account overviews wide range resources using DESs. activities HBA, HBD, along advantageous coupling extracts, thoroughly discussed. Finally, we envisage future directions potential applications harnessing collective guide advances chemistry.
