Acute leukemia is a prevalent cancer worldwide and classified into two distinct forms. Currently, various therapies have been developed for this disease; however, the issues of recurrence, resistance to treatment, adverse effects require exploration novel treatments. Polyphenols, four categories, are secondary metabolites originating from plants that demonstrate diverse metabolic features such as anticancer, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant activities. Consequently, they attracted attention therapeutic preventive measures. Research indicates dietary polyphenols can mitigate disease burden acute leukemias by influencing molecular pathways associated with its inflammatory processes. Furthermore, owing their properties, reduce amounts reactive oxygen species generated disrupted in these malignancies. The actions facilitate recovery interrupting cell cycle causing apoptosis activating pro-apoptotic genes. In conclusion, intake polyphenols, due convenience availability, coupled positive outcomes use conjunction conventional therapies, may function an efficient measure leukemia.

Our study reports for the first time, over a 12-month period, seasonal variations in chemical composition and antibacterial antioxidant activity of Rosmarinus officinalis L. essential oil (RoEO) from Southwestern Romania (Oltenia region). To analyze constituents RoEO, comprehensive gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) method was employed. The analysis aimed to identify quantify various components by comparing their mass spectra with reference National Institute Standards Technology (NIST) Library 2020. minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values Staphylococcus aureus were determined using microdilution (96-well plates). analyzed 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), 2,2′-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) radical scavenging assays. This provided detailed profile RoEO’s constituents, revealing significant monthly variations. Key compounds, such as camphor, eucalyptol, α-pinene, camphene, α-myrcene, quantified, alongside lesser-studied like β-pinene, α-terpinene, linalool, terpinolene, carvacrol. Comparisons made sample Tunisia. Oxygenated monoterpenes reach highest (56.82–66.94%), followed monoterpene hydrocarbons (30.06–40.28%), sesquiterpene (0.90–2.44%), oxygenated sesquiterpenes (0.02–0.23%). Camphor found high concentrations ranging 29.41% 40.03%. 1,8-Cineole another dominant compound, 13.07% 16.16%, significantly lower compared Tunisian (52.77%). α-Pinene ranged 11.36% 19.33%, while α-myrcene 1.65% 3.08%. Correlations between specific compounds bioactivity explored understand contributions overall efficacy RoEO. provides valuable insights into potential applications variability RoEO Romania.

Abstract Allergies are a common health issue affecting many people around the world, especially in developed countries. They occur when immune system overreacts to substances that usually harmless. Some allergic conditions include asthma, sinus infections, skin rashes, food allergies, hay fever, severe reactions, eczema, swelling, and reactions medications or insect stings. The causes of these allergies complex often linked genetics, which can lead heightened responses known as atopy. Throughout history, plant extracts have been used for various purposes, including medicine food. In addition, their bioactive compounds show wide range beneficial effects, such reducing fighting oxidative stress, mast cell stabilizers, lowering inflammation, highlighting potential treating conditions. Flavonoids phenolic commonly anaphylaxis potent anti-inflammatory action. This review aims promote use natural products treatments anaphylaxis. discovery new drugs derived from sources holds significant promise management

The gut-lung axis, a vital signaling network linking the gastrointestinal and pulmonary systems, regulates immune responses progression of respiratory diseases. Nutritional components can modulate gut microbiome regulate synthesis critical intestinal microbial metabolites, which are essential for maintaining homeostasis supporting health. Conversely, poor dietary habits exacerbate asthma other conditions through modulation systemic inflammation responses. Dietary interventions, such as Mediterranean diet, reported to restore balance improve health by increasing production anti-inflammatory potentiating responses, preserving epithelial barrier integrity. In contrast, Western patterns, characterized high fat low fiber intake, disrupt diversity, resulting in increased levels pro-inflammatory metabolites that aggravate airway severity. This review aimed elucidate mechanisms underlying regulatory effects microbes their on asthma. Additionally, previous findings related axis have been summarized, providing insights into potential therapeutic strategies management.

Polyphenols are the most prevalent naturally occurring phytochemicals in human diet and range complexity from simple molecules to high-molecular-weight polymers. They have a broad of chemical structures generally categorized as “neuroprotective”, “anti-inflammatory”, “antioxidant” given their main function halting disease onset promoting health. Research has shown that some polyphenols metabolites can penetrate blood–brain barrier hence increase neuroprotective signaling neurohormonal effects provide anti-inflammatory antioxidant effects. Therefore, multi-targeted modulation may prevent progression neuropsychiatric disorders new practical therapeutic strategy for difficult-to-treat disorders. multi-target potential such nervous system diseases. Herein, we review benefits on autism-spectrum disorders, anxiety depression, sleep along with vitro ex vivo experimental clinical trials.
