The physicochemical properties of fruits at different maturity stages using grafting technology are great importance since can alter the nutritional and functional parameters fruit. In this study, grafted yellow pitahaya (Selenicereus megalanthus Haw.) fruit, grown on live tutors, was evaluated from 0 to 5. following response variables were recorded: fruit weight, diameter, length; pulp weight with seed peel; color; firmness; total soluble solids content; titratable acidity; pH; flavonoid polyphenol antioxidant activity determined FRAP ABTS. results show that harvested plants have better physical characteristics such as length. However, content acidity similar in ungrafted plants. highest polyphenols, flavonoids, by ABTS found stage 0, decreased ripened. A positive correlation between content, capacity protein content. S. technique is a promising for sustainable production because it reduces pesticide use combatting soil pathogens not modifying quality.

Pitahaya (Hylocereus megalanthus), commonly known as dragon fruit, is grown in tropical areas and has a promising future the world market. At present, it crop developed by small-scale farmers. However, finding optimal for installing this major challenge. In study, we evaluated suitability of land pitahaya cultivation department Amazonas using integrated multi-criteria techniques such geographic information systems (GISs) remote sensing (RS). The analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method was used to select rank criteria. fuzzy-AHP (F-AHP) then applied perform pairwise comparisons determine linguistic scaling requirements, and, Preference Ranking Organization Method Enrichment Evaluation (PROMETHEE), requirements with highest preference were selected. results reported that cultivation, most important criterion mean annual temperature (20.70%), followed soil organic matter (11.8%), rainfall (9.50%), proximity roads (9.0%). final map indicated 0.006% (2.39 km2) very suitable, 4.60% (1661.97 moderately 0.10% (34.65 marginally 95.30% (34,459.31 study area not suitable.

Meloidogyne incognita, a widely distributed plant parasite that is considered one of the most devastating species for various crops, has traditionally been controlled through use synthetic products. However, risks associated with these products human health and environment have prompted search more sustainable alternatives. In this context, extracts rich in secondary metabolites, such as those Tagetes zypaquirensis Dysphania ambrosioides, shown potential nematode management, although their efficacy varies. This study aimed to evaluate effect T. zypaquirensis, Lonchocarpus urucu, D. Urera laciniata, Ricinus communis on population M. incognita Selenicereus megalanthus under greenhouse conditions. A completely randomized block experimental design was used three replicates per treatment six yellow pitahaya (or dragon fruit) plants unit. total 10 g extract applied at two application times: 7 days before inoculation after. addition, controls were included: an absolute control, no inoculation, inoculated consisting exposed only nematodes. The results showed preventive ambrosioides significantly reduced populations compared control. The classification of agricultural products is great importance for quality control, optimized marketing, efficient logistics, research progress, consumer satisfaction, and sustainability. Dragon fruit has many varieties that need to be identified quickly accurately packaging marketing. Considering the increasing demand dragon fruit, it obvious an automated system significant commercial scientific value by sorting efficiency reducing manual labor costs. This study aimed classify four commonly produced according their color, mechanical, physical properties using machine learning models. Data were collected from 224 fruits (53 American beauty, 57 Dark star, 65 Vietnamese white, 49 Pepino dulce variety). Classification was performed measurable mechanical obtained through digital image processing, colorimetry, electronic weighing, stress–strain testing. These methods provided objective reproducible data collection Three models—Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, Support Vector Classification—were implemented performances evaluated accuracy, precision, recall, Matthews’s correlation coefficient, Cohen’s Kappa, F1-Score. Random Forest model showed highest performance in all metrics, achieving 98.66% while had lowest success. superior can attributed its ability handle complex, nonlinear relationships among multiple variables preventing overfitting ensemble learning. However, potential challenges include variations due environmental factors, genetic variation, hybridization. Future focus on incorporating biochemical or markers improving real-time industrial applications.

Objectives: Antibiotic-resistant bacterial infections are a growing global concern. A natural remedy for could be available in the Selenicereus undatus fruit, but its antibacterial and biochemical properties not fully known. Methods: In this study, composition antibacterial, antioxidant, cytotoxic activities of Jindu No. 1 (JD) Bird’s Nest (YW) dragon fruit varieties their potential effects against E. coli, Pseudomonas sp., Staphylococcus sp. were scrutinized. Results: The JD extract showed higher activity than YW variety vitro. Additionally, demonstrated more significant antioxidant less activity. had glucose content, while fructose phytoconstituents analysis confirmed 659 metabolites total from two varieties. Through silico analyses, evaluated to identify drug molecules selected strain.
