Tartary buckwheat is an important medicinal and edible crop known for its significant health benefits to humans. While numerous germplasm resources have been collected in China, the genetic diversity core remain largely unclear. The aim of this work was analyze variability construct a collection buckwheat. Fifteen highly polymorphic SSR markers were used investigate 659 accessions. A total 142 alleles marked, with average 9.47 per locus. Genetic analysis revealed that these accessions exhibit high can be classified into seven subgroups. Among wild, landrace, improved accessions, wild accession showed highest diversity, while no variation observed between landrace Based on population structure analyses, containing 165 (47 92 26 improved) constructed, ensuring good representation. This study not only highlighted differences among but also provided insights development collection. It references conservation improvement
