Livestock methane emissions are a significant source of greenhouse gases. The aim this study was to investigate the secondary metabolites different strains silage quinoa and their impact on from livestock farming. In study, we evaluated chemical composition, fermentation quality, metabolite content, in vitro gas production eight lines, 093, 137, 231, 238, 565, 666, 770, 811, grown saline alkaline areas Yellow River Delta. results showed that crude protein, EE, ash content ranged 8.84% 10.69%, 1.98% 2.38%, 17.00% 23.14%, respectively. acidic neutral detergent fiber these varieties 49.31% 61.91% 33.29% 37.31%, Line 093 had highest total saponin while 231 exhibited flavonoid content. Methane yield significantly negatively correlated with tannin, saponin, whereas carbon dioxide positive correlation Among all 770 811 demonstrated lowest production, indicating strong inhibition methanogenesis. These findings suggest feeding ruminants has potential reduce emissions.
