ABSTRACT Developing wound dressings containing plant extracts is an innovative method of preparing suitable for treating infected wounds. Different species Capparis are known their rich sources antioxidants with wound‐healing effects. However, the sepiaria have not been sufficiently explored healing. Infected wounds challenging to treat, revealing need design effective dressings. Novel single‐layer hydrocolloids (SLHs) and double‐layer (DLHs) loaded aqueous extract were developed from carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), sodium alginate (SA), hydroxy methylcellulose (HPMC), characterized using appropriate techniques. Their SEM images revealed interwoven porous morphology that promotes cell activities gaseous exchange. The water vapor transmission rates % porosity ranged 1000 ± 2.80 9500 0.0025 g/m 2 /24 h 70 0.09 89%± 15.0%, respectively. DLH2 showed significant antibacterial efficacy against most bacterial strains, MIC values 15.625 μg/mL. hemostatic effects SLH3 DLH3 substantial, lowest absorbance being 0.1869 0.1816, prepared nontoxic, supported cellular migration accelerated healing, exhibited effects, making them promising bleeding

Diabetic wounds represent a significant challenge in the medical field, significantly impacting patient quality of life and imposing heavy burden on healthcare systems. Intelligent hydrogel dressings have attracted attention diabetic wound treatment due to their unique properties. This review systematically explores three main categories intelligent hydrogels (natural, synthetic, composite), dissecting composition, structure, mechanisms that enable responses. The crucial roles these maintaining moist environment, efficiently absorbing exudate, precisely delivering drugs are expounded. Moreover, application advantages combating bacteria infections, regulating inflammation immunity, promoting angiogenesis tissue regeneration, as well enabling real-time monitoring personalized treatment, explored depth. Additionally, we discuss future research directions prospects for precision medicine care, aiming inspire innovation provide comprehensive theoretical basis development next-generation dressings.
