Polylactic acid (PLA) stands out as a biomaterial with immense potential, primarily owing to its innate biodegradability. Conventional methods for manufacturing PLA encompass injection molding or additive (AM). Yet, the fabrication of sizable medical devices often necessitates fragmenting them into multiple components printing, subsequently requiring reassembly accommodate constraints posed by dimensions AM platform. Typically, laboratories resort employing nuts and bolts assembly printed expansive devices. Nonetheless, this conventional approach jointing is susceptible inherent risk loosening dislodging amid reciprocating movements apparatus. This systematic review interrogates the literature to understand what is known about environmental sustainability of fused filament fabrication, FFF (also as deposition modeling, FDM), based on life cycle assessment (LCA) results. Since substantial energy demand systematically addressed one main reasons for ecological damage in FFF, mitigation strategies are often reducing printing time (for example, adopting thicker layers) or embodied per part (e.g., by nesting, which means multiple parts same job). This article is focused on a mechanical properties investigation of three types sustainable poly lactic acid materials manufactured using the fused filament fabrication process. The purpose this work was to study impact printing strategies and predict behavior under tensile loading finite element analysis. testing conducted according ISO 527 standard. numerical simulations were in Simufact Forming 2022 software.
