Abstract Macroporous composite aerogels, combining polyaniline (PANI) and polypyrrole (PPy), were synthesized by oxidative cryopolymerization of various ratios the corresponding comonomers in presence poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVAl) stabilizer. The estimate conducting polymer PVAl phase contents made XPS, allowed correlation mechanical properties materials with their composition. Tensile measurements showed that tensile modulus stress at break mostly determined PPy units, while change strain correlated content. material, 90 mol% aniline comonomer mixture, which contained highest fraction phase, was found to have best adsorption performance towards anionic dye, Reactive Black 5. Notably, it had higher removed compared homopolymer aerogels. Adsorption isotherm data, fitted Langmuir model, having maximum capacity 389.1 mg g –1 . In addition, possibility adsorbent reusability for least 5 cycles has been additionally confirmed, makes prepared PPy/PANI-PVAl a promising application water purification.

In this study, the removal of certain insecticides and herbicides from aqueous solutions using adsorption method was aimed. For purpose, chitosan used. Chitosan treated with insecticide herbicide solutions, effects contact time changes in concentrations on were separately examined. The applicability Langmuir isotherm tested at 25°C.
