This study aims to explore the untapped potential of waste wood materials and investigate how their unique textures, patterns, forms could be harnessed create compelling outdoor art installations. As part a qualitative research methodology, employs case iterative design approach artistic aesthetic value in environments. An extensive collection process was undertaken, gathering various pieces from furniture shops. These samples were carefully cataloged based on origin, type, dimensions, distinguishing features. Through an approach, different arrangement techniques explored compose fragments into larger sculptural that harmonized irregular shapes textures. Field studies conducted identify suitable locations where these ephemeral installations sensitively integrated while provoking dialogue themes temporality, renewal, mankind's relationship with nature. The reveals profound duality within – discarded status juxtaposed against intricate beauty details, grains, organic imperfections. In conclusion, this shows installation offers new perspectives material reuse, encouraging deeper appreciation for overlooked objects.

Waste-to-energy technology has proven effective in reducing the mass and volume of waste, thereby minimizing contamination sources residual fractions. However, high moisture content waste significantly reduces efficiency energy recovery. Biodrying shown great potential for reduction through microbial activity, enhancing waste-to-energy processes. While lack proper real-time monitoring methods hinders optimization biodrying This study proposes an efficient method municipal solid based on electrical resistivity monitoring. During biodrying, was measured alongside key parameters like temperature, weight, gas emissions from process, relative air humidity, moisture, density. The results indicate a good correlation between bulk (441–614 Ω·m) temperature increases above ambient within first 36 h (r2 = 0.97–0.99). Statistical analyses also revealed correlations with density (negative correlation, r2 0.68–0.97) (moderate to strong, 0.45–0.72) during different phases. These findings demonstrate relationship parameters, which can be used development enhance process control efficiency, thus sustainable management efficiency.

Purpose This study serves a dual purpose. First, it aims to explore the phase-wise progression that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) startups must undertake become successful ecosystem partners, supporting large industrial firms in their circular transition. Second, seeks examine how these manage change foster collaborative cultures through strategies enabled by positive organizational scholarship (POS) during phased evolution. Design/methodology/approach provides empirical evidence multiple case study-based approach involving 12 born-circular SMEs/startups from 5 diverse Indian sectors. Insights were gathered conducting two rounds of semi-structured interviews with 24 participants one validatory seminar eight participants. Findings research identified three distinct complementary phases – compare, compete collaborate can undergo emerge as partners. Each phase encompasses specific business practices, including various activities. These activities serve clear indicators smaller firms’ potential competence aiding larger transitions. Originality/value paper contributes theoretical understanding economy outlining trajectory for establish partnerships. Another contribution is application POS management paradigm facilitate circularity. Additionally, highlights context developing nations, which remain underexplored compared developed counterparts circularity initiatives.

The development of biogas technology is essential as a renewable energy source, aiding global initiatives in sustainable production and waste management. Geographical, technological, economic factors significantly vary the efficiency viability facilities by area. This study compares techno-economic, social, environmental impacts plants Germany Pakistan using multicriteria decision-making method that combines Analytic Hierarchy Process SMARTER. research has determined weighting then assessed comparative performance six selected based on five different scenarios: (i) comprehensive base-case, (ii) performance, (iii) (iv) social (v) per-kW efficiency. Three these are (a low–medium-income developing country) three high-income developed country). findings indicate technical most heavily weighted criterion, playing crucial role determining overall sustainability scores. Germany’s Bioenergie Park Güstrow stood out leading performer, achieving scores 63.1%, 72.9%, 73.0% across environmental, scenarios, respectively. In same Gujjar Colony Biogas Plant recorded lowest 25.4%, 43.2%, 53.0%. from country showed progressive score high impact towards scenarios. contrast, low bioenergy deployment due to various factors, highlighting gaps flaws optimized generation growth. critical techno-economic socio-environmental vital for policymakers, industry, engineers, other relevant stakeholders seeking enhance scalability, technologies economies.

This paper investigates strategies to address climate change by promoting sustainable energy technologies and consumption practices. It examines renewable sources such as solar, wind, geothermal their potential reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The study also explores optimization techniques, focusing on genetic algorithms (GAs) smart systems like grids microgrids, which enhance efficiency sustainability. research highlights the role of circular economy in fostering through recycling waste management. Furthermore, economic trade-offs between environmental harm, impact both fossil fuel energies. A dual methodological approach is employed: first, an endogenous growth model excluding factors, followed a modified version incorporating considerations. Using continuous algorithm data from 2000 2025, forecasts optimal trajectory for energy’s share global under two scenarios. findings suggest that could represent 82.4% total constraints, up current 45%. hindered challenges droughts, hydropower production. concludes achieving transition requires comprehensive policies integrating expansion, efficiency, protection. These provide important insights into optimizing pathways They serve foundation future policy recommendations, aiming ensure low emission balancing need with preservation environment.

Currently, the generation of electricity in most countries around world primarily relies on fossil fuels, which contribute significantly to environmental degradation and climate change. Municipal solid waste (MSW) presents a promising alternative energy source, as various technologies now exist treat recover its energy. This shift helps reduce reliance non-renewable resources tackles growing issue management. article comprehensively reviews three waste-to-energy technologies: anaerobic digestion, gasification plasma gasification. It covers fundamental principles behind each technology, their efficiency recovery, associated costs practical applications. Additionally, delves into technical challenges faced implementing these technologies, such scalability, economic feasibility impacts. By evaluating aims provide insights potential for contributing more sustainable circular system.
