ABSTRACT Objective To conduct a systematic review on the masking ability of subtractively and additively manufactured dental ceramics. Materials Methods The study followed Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta‐Analyses (PRISMA) statement. electronic search was carried out through MEDLINE, Scopus, Website Science databases with date restriction being from 2001 onwards. Publications in English, vitro studies, studies regarding evaluation crown materials that were included. Results Out 619 eligible articles, 13 A thickness 1.5 mm lithium disilicate (LD) resulted dramatic decrease ∆ E ab /∆ 00 across all substrates compared to 1 thickness. Low‐translucent LD appeared have best regardless shade try‐in paste. Layering flowable composite over improved ability. Darker hardest mask no matter type restorative material, paste used, layering technique. Bilayered proved be superior monolithic Conclusion Increasing ceramics improves is found provide most ceramic materials. prove difficult comparison lighter require either thicker and/or more opaque cements. crowns are recommended achieving optimal while preserving tooth structure. Despite increasing demand, there available 3D‐printed (additively manufactured) restoration's Clinical Significance This provides abilities multiple highlight lack current knowledge It also emphasizes importance having universal approach interpreting communicating color changes between collaborative professionals ensure same predictions. In addition, when darker shades, clinicians should aware alternative material choice or clinical technical procedures essential.

Background/purpose: Fiber-reinforced materials are commonly used as biobases beneath indirect restorations, potentially affecting the seating and marginal accuracy of restorations. This study intended to assess impact various biobase techniques on adaptation lithium disilicate overlay Methods: Fifty sound maxillary first premolar teeth comparable dimensions were prepared using a full-bevel design (3 mm occlusal reduction) allocated randomly five groups follows (n = 10): Group A, delayed dentin sealing; B, immediate sealing Optibond FL; C, with 1 flowable composite layer (Clearfil AP-X Flow); D, followed by short-fiber-reinforced (everX E, coated reinforced polyethylene Ribbond fibers. Digital impressions obtained Medit i700 intraoral scanner, overlays digitally designed via Sirona inLab CAD software milled four-axis milling machine. The luted preheated AP-X). Marginal gap assessments conducted pre- post-cementation digital microscope at 230× magnification. data statistically analyzed one-way analysis variance paired t-tests. Results: ANOVA disclosed no significant differences among before or after cementation (p > 0.05). Conclusions: presence absence fiber-reinforced did not restorations; these can be incorporated optimize mechanical behavior restorations without adversely their accuracy. These findings suggest that non-reinforced safely integrated into clinical adhesive protocols enhance performance comprising adaptation.

Zirconia-reinforced lithium disilicate (ZLD) is a promising material for esthetic dental restorations due to its strength, translucency, and color stability. However, durability under accelerated aging conditions needs further investigation. The present in vitro study evaluated the effect of UV on translucency stability ZLD at varying thicknesses, using IPS e.max Press (LD) as reference. Seventy-two samples were divided into two groups: high translucent (HT) Vita Ambria (n=36, each). Each group was subdivided four thicknesses: 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 mm (n=9). fabricated, polished, subjected weathering 384 hours, simulating one year clinical service. Translucency changes assessed spectrophotometer. Data analyzed SPSS 20, with independent t-test, paired one-way ANOVA significance level P≤0.05. exhibited significantly higher before after compared press all thicknesses (P=0.000). In both materials, decreased when thickness increased (P=0.000), observed aging. also displayed greater change (ΔE=2000) across than LD artificial aging, indicating that process adversely impacted optical properties tested material. demonstrated superior

BACKGROUND This computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) study aimed to evaluate the effects of thermocycling on deep margin elevation relocation subgingival cavity outlines in 80 molar teeth using advanced lithium disilicate ceramic. MATERIAL AND METHODS Eighty mandibular were prepared for below cementoenamel junction. The following types restorations subsequently applied each group: glass ionomer filling, bulk-fill flowable resin composite, bioactive nanohybrid composite. Full-coverage crowns with standardized preparation a shoulder finish line receive CAD/CAM-milled crowns. Samples examined at 6 equidistant points via digital microscope proximal surface restoration-tooth crown-restoration interfaces before after 15 000 cycles. Data analyzed one-way analysis variance, level significance 0.05. RESULTS vertical marginal gap was significantly higher aging highest 9.091 (±1.147) 9.936 (±6.376) µm, followed by 3.59 (±1.03) 3.87 (±0.97) 3.17 (±0.81) 2.59 (±0.21) 1.89 (±0.60) 2.42 (±0.64) cervical apical interfaces, respectively. CONCLUSIONS Thermocycling changed adaptation all restorative materials. Highest values recorded filling group, composite groups, whereas lowest among group interfaces.

Aim To evaluate translucency parameters of different lithium disilicate glass-ceramic materials after thermocycling and coffee staining. Material method Three rectangular-shaped specimens were prepared using three distinct 1.2 mm thick glass ceramics (IPS e.max CAD, LD_C; Cerec Tessera, LD_A; Initial LiSi Block, LD_F) by a precision cutting device. All standardised polishing with abrasive silicone paper. Thereafter, the subjected to thermal cycling (5000 cycle, 5-55 C, 30 sn dwell time) then immersed in solution for days.
