Purpose Religion and spirituality (R/S) are recognized components of recovery-oriented mental health services. This study aims to present a clinically focused tool for assessing R/S interest among veterans with serious illness (SMI). Design/methodology/approach A questionnaire including 39 items was developed by experienced chaplains clinicians administered modest pilot sample 110 participants in program at medical center the US Veterans Health Administration (VHA). In recent years, a novel area of interest that emerged in research on mental health is body appreciation, broadly understood as positive and respectful attitude towards one's body. This study aims to investigate whether gratitude mass index mediate the relationship between spiritual well-being appreciation among young adults. The results revealed significantly enhanced appreciation. Gratitude was found positively affect amplify impact effect be stronger individuals with higher physical activity levels.
