In this paper, the validity of application an autocorrelation function for resolving some surface topography measurement problems was presented. Various types surfaces were considered: plateau-honed, honed with burnished dimples, ground, turned, milled, laser-textured, or isotropic. They measured stylus and non-contact (optical) methods. Extraction selected features, such as form waviness (defined L-surface) high-frequency noise (S-surface) from raw data, supported function. It proposed to select analysis procedures both profile (2D) areal (3D) analysis. Moreover, applications various regular (available in commercial software) methods, least-square-fitted polynomial planes, Gaussian (regression robust) functions, median filter, spline approach, fast Fourier transform scheme, evaluation parameters ISO 25178 standards.

The micro-defects on KH2PO4 (KDP) optic surfaces are mainly repaired by the micro-milling technique, while it is very easy to introduce brittle cracks surfaces, as KDP soft and brittle. Studies of surface topography including processes measurement and data analysis have an influence on the description machined parts with their tribological performance. Usually, roughness is analysed when a scale-limited (S-L) surface, excluding short (S-) length (L-) components from raw measured data, defined. Errors in precise definition S-L can cause false estimation detail properties, especially its arise contains some burnished details such as oil pockets, dimples, scratches, or, generally, deep or wide features. The validation proposed methods for also affect accuracy ISO 25178 parameter calculation. It was found that application commonly used procedures, available commercial software (e.g., least-square fitted cylinder element polynomial planes, regular robust Gaussian regression, spline, median fast Fourier transform filters) be suitable definition. The effect of tungsten, aluminum, and cobalt on the mechanical properties iron-based composites prepared by powder technology was studied. Five samples with different contents were established. five have following chemical compositions: (I) full iron sample, (II) 5wt.% (III) tungsten-4wt.% cobalt-1wt.% (IV) tungsten-2.5wt.% cobalt-2.5wt.% (V) tungsten-1wt.% cobalt-4wt.% aluminum. mixed composite powders milling, in which 10:1 ball to ratio 350 rpm for 20 h cold compacted a diaxial press under 80 bars, then sintered at temperatures ranging from 1050 °C 1250 an argon furnace. characterized mechanically physically using XRD, SEM, density measuring device, hardness compression test tribological device wear friction tests. Using an adaptive noise canceling technique (ANCT) and distance ratio principal component analysis (DRPCA), this paper proposes a new fault diagnostic model for multi-degree tooth-cut failures (MTCF) in gearbox operating at inconsistent speeds.
