The digital transformation of the GLAM (galleries, libraries, archives, and museums) sector is a multifaceted process that must address range requirements critical challenges, such as traceability, long-term preservation, sustainability. potential disruptive technologies to revolutionize this significant, offering new ways overcome these challenges align with broader objectives smart cities. This paper contributes field proposing reference architecture rooted in design-oriented approach for developing implementing processes related within context To illustrate practical application proposed architecture, proof concept was developed form an immersive gallery, which features AI-powered virtual storyteller. built using open, cross-platform, Unreal, incorporates digitized physical art metahuman tutor who guides users through gallery. interactive 3D environment enables explore space, engage artworks, interact guide. environment’s performance evaluated keystroke-level model analysis. Key findings from pilot study involving 10 showed that, when directed AI storyteller, average time locate artwork 16.5 s, while ask question 15.8 s. ABSTRACTThe Digital Twin (DT) technology has shown promise in transforming complex engineered systems. However, its adoption the Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and Operation (AECO) field, particularly for Built Cultural Heritage (BCH) conservation, is still early stages. This study presents a systematic literature review of 85 academic publications to evaluate current state DT implementation heritage building conservation identifies areas optimising preventive management. In addition, this explores interpretations concept addressing overlaps with Historical/Heritage Building Information Modelling (HBIM), discusses functionalities existing frameworks. The findings demonstrate potential revolutionise BCH through holistic approach. further focus needed on features tools enhancing performance-based management targeted strategies advanced data analysis. Virtual reality (VR) is increasingly employed in various domains, notably enhancing learning and experiences cultural heritage (CH). This study examines the effects of gamified non-gamified VR within virtual museum environments, highlighting concept a digital twin its focus on heritage. It explores how these modalities affect visitor motivation, engagement, outcomes. For this purpose, two versions were developed: version incorporating interactive gaming elements like achievements, profiles, leaderboards, quizzes devoid elements. study, using an experimental design with 76 participants (38 each group for experiences), leverages Wieng Yong House Museum’s fabric collection to assess educational experiential quality visits. The findings indicate that while gamification significantly boosts reward dimension influence most pronounced effort motivation; however, impact outcomes less marked. Abstract In an increasingly digital and interconnected world, the integration of advanced technologies such as robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), service automation has become pivotal for shaping future various industries, including tourism. The paper investigates complex relationship between three independent variables: (robotic adoption, AI adoption) dependent (social sustainability, economic environmental sustainability). Employing a quantitative research approach, study gathered data from 608 randomly selected tourism supply chain stakeholders using Krejcie Morgan table to determine sample size. Data collection was facilitated through Google Forms questionnaires, analysis relied on structural equation modeling. statistical findings highlight positive direct significant relationships among these variables, evidenced by t ‐statistic values surpassing threshold 1.96. These ranged minimum 2.156 maximum 10.083. results suggest that strategically integrating technologies, businesses policymakers in Zimbabwe can enhance tourist experience, industry's long‐term viability its impact society, economy, environment. This study's outcomes provide compelling foundation informed decision‐making development targeted strategies aimed at advancing sustainability objectives within Zimbabwean landscape.
