The world production of plastic exceeded 360 million tonnes in 2020 alone, a considerable amount which is not properly disposed of. significant pressures and damages posed by conventional to human environmental health suggest that alternatives are urgently needed. One them "bioplastic", defined as bio-based (or not) biodegradable. This paper reports on study the perceptions bioplastics among consumers 42 countries identify their levels information concerns. results most respondents have positive expectations regarding future replace plastics fully or partially, especially for food containers, kitchenware, boxes bags packaging.
