Purpose
This
study
aims
to
comprehensively
examine
the
respiratory
infection
prevention
and
control
measures
used
in
South
African
workplaces,
particularly
context
of
facilities
management
(FM),
during
2020–2022
pandemic.
Design/methodology/approach
The
present
research
involved
pre-crafted
semi-structured
interviews
conducted
by
University
Witwatersrand
students
with
FM
heads
Johannesburg,
Africa.
Recurrent
themes
were
generated
using
NVIVO
software
analysed
frequencies,
word
counts
clouds.
Findings
identified
119
placed
these
into
two
broad
categories.
Twelve
critical
found.
These
further
validated
five
experts,
separate
from
heads,
who
cross-referenced
them
WHO
guidelines,
enhancing
credibility
findings.
Subsequently,
challenges
implementing
explored.
Practical
implications
findings
have

that
