In the frame of inner-outer (personal-social) dichotomy in theories social or personality psychology, it is argued this study that, as a new approach, reasonable to examine individual differences tending orient toward another outer facet, not just social, i.e., surrounding socio-physical environment while defining self-concept-first performing at level place-scaled meaningful settings, thus, interpreting place identity context orientations. The present research aimed theoretically and methodologically support concept based on approach: orientation (PIO). For latter purpose, development process questionnaire measuring it, which was supplementing Aspects Identity Questionnaire (AIQ-IV), completed. addition, construct validated relationships discussed literature between identity, connectedness with larger-scaled environment, nature, pro-environmental behavior (PEB), moreover, orientations behavior. our first scanning step validating PIO, partial mediation PIO PEB through nature found among 1,281 adults. It suggests that relative importance relationship places self-definition has distinct role addition behaving pro-environmentally. Limitations future directions (e.g., using people-environment fit several settings) are also discussed.

The circular economy (CE), a sustainability concept that promotes resource efficiency and waste reduction, has garnered significant popularity in recent years due to its potential address pressing environmental economic challenges. This study applies the Bayesian Mindsponge Mindspongeconomics (BMM) framework/analytic method, based on Framework (BMF), factors influencing young adults’ pro-environmental behavior their purchases of green products at different price levels. findings indicate adults who are knowledgeable about CE value protection energy conservation more likely engage sorting, while affect willingness pay (WTP) for energy-saving vary tiers. demonstrates knowledge CE, daily sorting habits, concern positively impact WTP priced 5%, 10%, 15% higher, respectively. Furthermore, this also highlights educational programs cultural influences nurturing generation prioritizes value. research integrates multidisciplinary perspectives offers practical implications policymakers, educators, businesses seeking promote literacy foster an culture among youth, contributing broader goals transformation sustainable development associated with economy, especially urban areas emerging countries beyond.

This paper aims to develop a conceptual and theoretical perspective on sustainable lifestyle change according multidisciplinary approach. In particular, we discuss the interplay between three orders of factors that, literature our model, are relevant in shaping lifestyles people daily life contexts, such as their living neighbourhoods. The following: (1) Individual level (as typically present discussed environmental psychology literature; e.g., attitudes, values, beliefs, intentions, emotions, connection nature, etc.); (2) Collective social sociology capital, norms, place identity, sense community, attachment, energy memories & cultures); (3) Contextual science economic regulations, technology, infrastructures, resources, etc.). Objective: While environmentally friendly products and brands are widely available, consumer adoption usage of these remain relatively low, highlighting disconnection between pro-environmental values actual green practices related to brand. The processes of industrialisation and urbanisation have substantially severed our connection with nature, causing detrimental effects on ecosystems that underline the urgent necessity for sustainability-driven transformations. However, dedication to sustainable practices depends various factors differs among different groups. This study employs Value–Belief–Norm Theory Environmentalism investigate impact New Ecological Paradigm (NEP), Connectedness Nature (CNS), agricultural land stewardship, age gender identity pro-ecological personal norms. Data collection took place in Malta, an island state characterised by competing pressures over its use. To encompass diverse group viewpoints, purposive sampling techniques were utilised, engaging environmentalists, hunters, representatives from general public. findings obtained hierarchical multiple regression analysis highlight a noteworthy positive NEP, CNS, age, which collectively explain 40% variance identification these drivers can provide directions facilitating implementation educational, environmental legislative policies help nurture foster relationship between humans nature.

Environmental identity is a dimension of personal that reflects an individual’s sense connection with nature and view as part her/his identity. There need to adapt validate measures assess environmental identity, namely in Portuguese. This study analyzed the validity reliability Revised Identity Scale (Revised EID) sample native speakers Portuguese from 18 83 years old. The survey included translation EID, eco-anxiety, adult attachment, affective neurobiological systems, psychological symptoms, sociodemographic information. Exploratory confirmatory factor analyses were conducted construct scale. It was tied two-factor solution (Connectedness Nature Protection Nature) found prior research. EID positively related feelings anxiety about impact on climate change positive emotional systems (SEEKING, CARE, PLAY).
