Purpose This paper aims to deepen the understanding of robust food supply chains (FSC) in SMEs by exploring and analyzing literature through lenses digital technologies. Supply chain management can significantly benefit from contemporary technologies. Among these technologies, blockchain is considered suitable for anti-counterfeiting and traceability applications due to its openness, decentralization, anonymity, other characteristics. This article introduces different types of blockchains standard algorithms used in technology discusses their advantages disadvantages. To improve the work efficiency systems supply chains reduce energy consumption, this paper proposes a model based on practical Byzantine fault tolerance (PBFT) algorithm alliance chains. uses credit evaluation system select primary node integrates weightage contributors (WtC) consensus mechanism. decline success rate while increasing number malicious transaction nodes, thereby reducing computing cost. Additionally, throughput algorithmic increases rapidly, reaching approximately 680 transactions per second (TPS) about 120 min after nodes are eliminated. The rapidly as blacklist mechanism reduces which improves system’s tolerance. validate effectiveness proposed model, case study was conducted using data real-life food company. analysis results show that period stable operation WtCPBFT overall communication cost reduced, stability were improved, fault-tolerant performance improved.
