The article investigates the potential of various renewable energy technologies on Nijhum Dwip, an island located in Bay Bengal. Due to island's completely isolated location sea, there is acute unavailability transmission lines and modern amenities which made this site ideal candidate where sources such as solar, wind, hydrokinetic biomass should be introduced order reduce its carbon footprint nearly zero. Using HOMER software, different setups hybrid systems were optimized based system sizes, combinations other factors. results showed that combination solar panels, wind turbines, most cost-effective sustainable option for Dwip. total NPC was only ${\$}$5,158,250.00 with impressive COE ${\$}$0.4291 quite reasonable terms being absolutely clean return preserves bio-diversity island. concludes by highlighting Dwip serve a model small islands remote communities seeking solutions.

The rapid deployment of electric vehicles (EVs) in Jordan requires massive efforts to prepare the infrastructures that serve transportation sector. lack EV charging stations is major obstacle faces drivers. Utilizing renewable energy contributes spread these stations. Renewable technologies are environmentally friendly as they mitigate greenhouse gases cause global warming phenomenon. In this paper, an station, based on a PV-biodiesel-battery hybrid system, investigated. importance article discuss system PV and waste vegetable oil (WVO) along with storage applies maximum reliability supply, having supply achieving lowest cost charging. This station designed WVO utilization. fact, WVO, coming from restaurants, exploited produce electricity by diesel generator through direct burning after converting it into biodiesel. capacity each 14 cars/day medium-speed charger 7 kW. simulated optimized using iHOGA software where multiobjective optimization applied achieve minimum net present (NPC) CO 2 emissions considering three cases, PV-diesel, PV-biodiesel, PV-WVO, all battery-hybrid system. These values for uses 624408 € 15.4 tons/year, respectively. corresponding 781473 15.14 tons/year 615310 18.84 systems work respectively, achieved best solution be 0.11 Euro/kWh. Simulation results show proposed technique led enhanced operational efficiency terms both NPC annual emissions.

Abstract Jordan's energy sector faces significant challenges due to rising fuel prices, making the exploration of local resources crucial. The abundant oil shale deposits in Wadi Thamad present a promising opportunity. Since has never been studied before, this research focuses on basin near Madaba, Jordan, aiming comprehensively characterize its using advanced analytical techniques. Using X‐ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, fluorescence, scanning electron microscopy, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and differential calorimetry, study assesses mineralogical, chemical, thermal properties shale. findings reveal calcite quartz as primary minerals, with aliphatic, CO 2 , hydroxyl, carboxyl groups. Elemental highlights essential oxides, such CaO SiO . Fischer assay results indicate an content 5.3–10.1 wt%, gross‐calorific value 4.56–7.69 MJ/kg, sulfur 1.77–2.10 wt%. peak pyrolysis temperature is 432.4°C from TGA. The urgency of addressing environmental challenges has become more apparent than ever in recent years. Using existing renewable resources and reducing impacts is critical for boosting economic growth sustainable development. Ethiopia limited access to modern bioenergy because insufficient biomass data policy gaps. This study estimated the theoretical potential forest residue production Ethiopia.
