Metaverse technology is one of the many technological breakthroughs in education, notably teaching and learning process classroom, especially since COVID-19 epidemic. This study aims to investigate, model, assess potential adoption metaverse from viewpoint BINUS University students. The methodology that employed quantitative descriptive analysis. research used Mozilla Hub's SPOKE create classroom simulation. Students are asked use a laptop web browser Virtual Reality (VR) headset replicate two scenarios realm. variables comfort, convenience, compatibility, interest, efficacy. findings this indicate more significant number participants, as much 80% than fewer respondents (20%) were interested employing VR (the Metaverse) for online using headsets. novelty academics can find out student behavior they prefer compared regular by opening browser. be special note headsets increase interest so it effective providing material. Future work application technology, which still requires development, necessitates careful planning consideration few factors, including security, infrastructure availability, user comfort. Purpose Digital sustainability involves the ability of industries and professionals to adapt rapidly changing technological landscapes. Digitalisation artificial intelligence (AI) are expected radically change maritime industry’s job landscape, especially with autonomous ships. International organisations currently do not formalise education deck officers need new formal modules. This study aims contribute this aspect by investigating learners’ experiences knowledge gaps in fundamentals of, as supported andragogy theory, topics such computer programming, cybersecurity statistics. Design/methodology/approach The research was carried out at Southampton Solent University, samples 105 students attending various MSc courses operations cadet courses. data collected through an online survey. two groups were compared analysed using a chi-square test.
