This research investigates the impact of Information and Knowledge Networks (IKN) development on tourism sector in East Kalimantan through a quantitative analysis. A sample 150 participants, comprising tourists, local businesses, stakeholders, provided insights into relationships between IKN Increasing Tourism Sector Competitiveness, Tourist Income, Number Visits. The study employed Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (PLS) to analyze data. measurement model assessment confirmed reliability validity constructs, while structural analysis revealed significant positive dependent variables. overall fit was assessed using various indices, hypothesis testing supported significance paths. R-Square values indicated that effectively explains substantial proportion variability outcomes. findings contribute understanding role shaping offer practical implications for stakeholders Kalimantan.

This study aims to examine the tourism development levels of countries in Mediterranean region according Travel and Tourism Development Index (TTDI) published by World Economic Forum (WEF) using multi-criteria decision-making methods. For this purpose, compares bordering Sea 5 main criteria 17 sub-criteria index. A sustainable smart tourism ecosystem relies on building digital networks that link tourists to destinations. This study explores the potential of web and immersive technologies, specifically Virtual Romania (VRRO) platform, in enhancing by redirecting tourist traffic lesser-known destinations boosting user engagement through interactive experiences. Our research examines how virtual platforms (VTPs), which include web-based support tourism, complement physical visits, influence engagement, foster community social features user-generated content (UGC). An empirical analysis VRRO platform reveals high levels, attributed its intuitive design features, regardless users’ technological familiarity. findings also highlight necessity for ongoing enhancements maintain satisfaction. This research study presents the spatio-temporal distribution of main agricultural crops in Romania using a modern digitalisation technique, namely interactive GIS mapping. Improving the conditions for provision of tourist services is critical development tourism. The World Economic Forum uses Travel and Tourism Development Index (TTDI), calculated based on five main criteria 17 sub-criteria, to assess these generate a ranking list countries their favourable environment conducting tourism-related activities. However, TTDI only considers average value each country's sub-criteria scores without considering significance those criteria. This paper addresses this issue using hybrid multi-criteria analysis, which combines MARCOS (Measurement Alternatives Ranking According Compromise Solution) MEREC (MEthod Removal Effects Criteria) methods. results methods show that observed European countries' order differs from stated in TTDI. Spain ranked first, Turkmenistan ranks last, sensitivity analysis supports findings.
