Abstract Water is essential for sustaining life and required carrying out basic daily activities. Even though water covers the vast majority of earth’s surface, availability fresh water, which necessary to maintain human activities, limited, making it a scarce resource. Climate change, overexploitation groundwater, population growth are all putting significant pressure on natural sources, pose serious threat various sectors society, especially in agriculture. Future projections freshwater indicate agriculture production will suffer shock globally, including India, leading food security sustainability. To ensure sustainability this vital resource, crucial use sensibly. Moreover, adopt certain strategies manage agricultural effectively. This includes adopting water-efficient techniques such as ‘micro-irrigation’, ‘irrigation scheduling’, ‘conservation agriculture’, ‘crop switching’ so on. In review, firstly, we discuss scarcity its types, causes, crisis shortages hindrance sustainable development from global perspective emphasizing Indian scenario developing nation. Secondly, elaborated our discussion impacts connection climate growth, resources globally focusing scenario. addition, innovative management practices adaptation use, constraints, need further research also covered. It anticipated that review benefit researchers policymakers by providing useful information limitation adoption strategies.

The present paper addresses a comprehensive historical assessment of water consumption, demand, and supply in Saudi Arabia, along with future projections regarding balance, terms demand by source various sectors. Being an arid region, Arabia experiences scorching heat, low precipitation, high rate potential evaporation, the absence permanent bodies over territory. Groundwater contributes almost 61% total available water, while recharge is negligible. However, few widyan (ephemeral streams) systems exists to satisfy which could contribute approximately one year domestic consumption if managed efficiently. study also predicts scenarios for next three consecutive development plans, i.e., 10th plan (2015–2019), 11th (2020–2024), 12th (2025–2029). analysis shows that may decline significantly future, continues. Scenario I, current assumed, provides decrease 14.36, 12.66, 11.15 BCM 10th, 11th, respectively. Moreover, industrial sectors will consume more future. In same way, II III represent agriculture, usage would increase, thus improving environmental sustainability.

Abstract As a basic infrastructure, sewers play an important role in the innards of every city and town to remove unsanitary water from all kinds livable functional spaces. Sewer pipe failures (SPFs) are unwanted unsafe many ways, as disturbance that they cause is undeniable. pipes meet manholes frequently, unlike distribution systems, sewers, movement due gravity needed intersection well through length. Many studies have been focused on sewer so on, but few investigations done show effect manhole proximity failure. Predicting localizing affected by different parameters properties, such material, age, slope, depth pipes. This study investigates applicability support vector machine (SVM), supervised learning (ML) algorithm, for development prediction model predict effects proximity. The results SVM with accuracy 84% can properly approximate failures.

Water contamination by harmful organic and inorganic compounds seriously burdens human health aquatic life. A series of conventional water purification methods can be employed, yet they come with certain disadvantages, including resulting sludge or solid waste, incomplete treatment process, high costs. To overcome these limitations, attention has been drawn to nanotechnology for fabricating better-performing adsorbents contaminant removal. In particular, magnetic nanostructures hold promise decontamination applications, benefiting from easy removal aqueous solutions. this respect, numerous researchers worldwide have reported incorporating particles into many composite materials. Therefore, review aims present the newest advancements in field composites decontamination, describing appealing properties a base materials results most recent studies. more detail, carbon-, polymer-, hydrogel-, aerogel-, silica-, clay-, biochar-, metal–organic framework-, covalent framework-based are overviewed, which displayed promising adsorption capacity industrial pollutants.

Saudi Arabia is one of the most water-scarce nations in world, with a huge demand-supply gap, and situation expected to worsen due climate change. Conventional surface water resources are limited, while nonrenewable groundwater sources depleted. To build more resilient sustainable sector, production non-conventional resources, specifically desalinated seawater treated domestic wastewater, has steadily increased recent years. As country lacks perennial such as rivers or bodies, it relies mainly on meet its daily requirements. Although government attempting regulate agricultural consumption agriculture remains relatively high. It presents an environmental challenge heavy reliance non-renewable resources. The anticipated increase temperature highly uncertain changes rainfall patterns could lead greater uncertainty when develop effective resource management plans. In this work, we review status present future challenges local authorities face managing amidst changing Arabia. This study employed narrative research methodology, utilizing various databases, including Scopus, Web Science, Science Direct, extract relevant articles within subject area. proposes number recommendations conclusions aimed at improving decision-makers’ ability adapt mitigate adverse impacts change manage scarce sustainably.

Saudi Arabia confronts major challenges in ensuring food security amid sustainability constraints that are exacerbated by freshwater scarcity and a dependency on imports. This study seeks to holistically assess the Kingdom's agricultural landscape light of its Vision 2030 objectives as well broader global initiatives such Sustainable Development Goals. Drawing from review reports, including 2015 Agricultural Census Production Survey Publications spanning 2025–2021, research relies two-pronged methodology focused scenario policy analyses. By envisioning possible future scenarios grounded present-day data contrasting Arabia's efforts with examples, we provide comprehensive extension service recommendations. A separate focus has been placed technological modernization key role extensions actualizing directives. The culminates discussing areas concern for sector, complemented constructive suggestions deeper pursuits. Our findings stress significance water-saving technology like hydroponics greenhouse farming efficient agriculture. Moreover, strengthened, science-based system integrating policies goals is vital climate-resilient security. serves foundation scholars stakeholders aiming navigate path toward sustainable resilient future.
