Some communities in the Veneto Region (Italy) are facing a major technological disaster due to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substance (PFAS) pollution. In response this serious problem, group of ordinary mothers exposed PFAS contamination came together under name MammeNoPfas (MothersNoPfas) address environmental moving towards activism. They started develop epistemic capacity understand these substances disseminate knowledge within their communities. The purpose study was explore experience as an community minority group, engaged accidental form Based on in-depth narrative interviews, 23 were involved study. A grounded theory thematic analysis methods used. Four themes emerged: (1) health surveillance, (2) collective ignorance, (3) learning, (4) practices. Nine sub-themes associated with emerging themes. This demonstrated that skills acquired by enabled significant participation issues. Social mobilisation, fighting for legal justice against those who poisoned land bodies establishing themselves three main dimensions characterising struggle MammeNoPfas.
