Abstract Dye-laden wastewater poses a significant environmental and health threat. This study investigated the potential of green-synthesized zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs), derived from Padina pavonica brown algae extract, for removal methylene blue (MB) dye. The hypothesis was that utilizing algal extract ZnO NP synthesis would enhance adsorption capacity photocatalytic activity dye removal. synthesized NPs, characterized by Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX) Zeta Potential, demonstrated high (Qm = 192.308 mg g −1 ) excellent efficiency (> 98%) MB at low concentrations. Langmuir isotherm pseudo-second-order kinetic models best fit experimental data, suggesting monolayer chemisorption as primary mechanisms. Notably, green NPs exhibited greater under direct sunlight irradiation compared to other light sources. Additionally, these displayed antimicrobial properties against various bacteria, indicating water disinfection. research offers sustainable environmentally friendly approach treatment efficient disinfection applications.

Maize (Zea mays L.), an important crop used for animal feed and human consumption, is currently threatened by water shortage. Recently, the usage of nanomaterials has attracted worldwide attention due to their applications in various fields. This research aimed evaluate comparative efficacy different metal oxide nanoparticles mitigating drought stress maize. Iron oxide, manganese copper were biosynthesized from leaf extract Conocarpus erectus L. characterized via UV-Vis, XRD, FTIR, SEM. The synthesized initially optimized at concentrations (0, 25, 50, 75, 100 ppm). doses each nanoparticle then applied maize plants under levels (50% FC, 75% 100% FC). Compared control, application significantly improved growth parameters 30% 50% 27% 26% FC. chlorophyll content also 35%, 32%, 29% as compared respectively. antioxidants (CAT, POD, SOD, APX) 37%, 34%, 31%, Moreover, use resulted a significant decrease cellular oxidative (MDA, H2O2) 23% 50%FC, Biosynthesized FeO NPs, MnO Cu NPs have demonstrated potential maize, suggesting promising approach enhance performance water-limited conditions. Further recommended explore long-term impacts practical these findings sustainable agriculture.

Abstract Gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) have become a valuable tool for enhancing crop production under both non-stressed and abiotic stress conditions. However, the mechanisms by which AuNPs enter plant leaves boost growth yield are not fully understood. Abiotic stresses negatively impact affecting morphological, physiological, metabolic processes, such as nutrient water uptake, photosynthetic systems, antioxidant activities. help protect membranes, maintain balance, improve absorption, they scavenge reactive oxygen species, significantly increase This review explored biological synthesis of AuNPs, their entry into leaves, positive impacts on plants normal stressful It also highlighted several research gaps in field AuNP-mediated tolerance. comprehensive serves an excellent resource future researchers interested using eco-friendly approach to enhance tolerance plants.
