As a response to the growing recognition of importance ensuring sustainable future for humanity and planet, there has been push by various stakeholders integration sustainability education in early years. This small-scale, exploratory study uses phenomenographic research approach examine variation conceptions childhood educators may adopt when practicing their respective settings. Four preschool teachers from Philippines three Sweden participated this study, taking part semi-structured interviews explicate present understandings practices related sustainability. From responses, four preliminary categories description were identified— connecting with self; humans; more-than-humans; interconnections —wherein is hierarchy how these are related, beginning self then radiating outwards. Participants do not necessarily practice only one category, but rather embed different connections practice. offers an initial investigation alternative ways organizing teachers’ logical, hierarchical structure, as well allowing considerations which could be expanded or made more inclusive through further research.
