This study proposes a sustainable Innovation Management Model (MGI) for the plantain agroindustrial chain, applied to Quindío region of Colombia. A mixed-methods approach was employed, incorporating various techniques, including systematic literature review using Scopus database, which analyzed 95 documents through PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) framework. The identification prioritization relevant variables, along with validation proposed model, were also conducted use three questionnaires, supplemented by relevance congruence indices. analysis identified 53 variables entry stage, 36 transformation 31 exit stage. findings revealed significant gaps within particularly in areas such as leadership, strategic management, resilience among key stakeholders. MGI, prioritized stakeholders, provides framework that integrates information flows, facilitating development new open innovation challenges. These challenges engage not only seekers—entities require innovation—but solvers—organizations offer solutions. implementation this model will supportive public policies, projects, web platforms, Innocentive/Wazoku, Ninesigma, Ruta N, Yet2.com, Itonics, Ennomotive, which, aid artificial intelligence, can connect supply demand
