This systematic literature review investigates the impact of digital transformation on supply chain optimisation in field industrial engineering. Drawing upon a synthesis 68 peer-reviewed articles, study identifies technological enablers, strategic frameworks, and integration mechanisms that underpin digitally optimised chains. Key findings highlight pivotal roles technologies such as artificial intelligence AI, blockchain, Internet Things IoT, twins, simulation-based analytics enhancing visibility, resilience, agility. The uncovers how these are integrated into frameworks operational processes to improve real-time decision-making, sustainability, customer responsiveness. Additionally, paper discusses sector-specific insights, barriers implementation, future research directions, concluding represents both evolution imperative for modern systems

This study examines the integration of Saudi food industry into Global Value Chain (GVC) by assessing influence key external factors, including Trade Policy (TP), Digital Business (DB), Collaborative Partnerships (CP), Ethical Issues (EI), and Sustainability Environment (SE). Open Innovation (OI) is analyzed as a mediating factor linking these elements to GVC participation. Using structural equation modeling (SEM), data from 178 decision-makers in sector reveal that while factors significantly impact participation, their effect primarily channeled through OI. OI facilitates knowledge sharing, technology adoption, collaboration, serving critical enabler integration. These findings underscore transformative role leveraging enhance competitiveness, aligning with Vision 2030's economic diversification objectives. The emphasizes need for policymakers leaders promote initiatives strengthen global positioning industry.

In the BANI context, organizations can utilize digital technologies to implement flexible resource allocation strategies help them address unpredictable situations, which is crucial for enhancing supply chain resilience. However, existing research lacks an in-depth exploration of mechanisms underlying resilience development in practice enterprise restructuring.
