The effectiveness, tolerance, and safety of pesticides must be established before their scientific or rational. This study evaluates the field control efficacy broflanilide, tetraniliprole, chlorantraniliprole in combating Spodoptera frugiperda maize crops, as well resistance S. to these three diamide after exposure. By assessing efficiency, toxicity, effects on development reproduction, detoxification enzyme activity frugiperda, highlights broflanilide's significant insecticidal potential. A highly sensitive efficient method using QuEChERS/HPLCMS/MS was developed simultaneously detect residues maize. Initial concentrations ranged from 2.13 4.02 mg/kg, with respective half-lives varying between 1.23 1.51 days. Following foliar application, by time harvest, terminal residue were all under 0.01 mg/kg. Chronic dietary intake risk assessments cumulative chronic exposure for indicated that general population's concentration within acceptable limits. Not only does this research provide valuable insights into effects, resistance, residues, assessment results maize, but additionally, it also paves way setting suitable Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) values based pre-harvest interval values, rational dosage, application frequency.

Spodoptera frugiperda (J.E. Smith) (Noctuidae: Lepidoptera) is a notable insect pest that invades major cereal crops, causing significant damage and loss. Resistances of 2nd instar larvae two Egyptian field populations S. frugiperda, collected from the Fayoum Giza governments, were measured against eight insecticides, including traditional insecticides (profenofos cypermethrin), bio-insecticides (emamectin benzoate, spinosad, Bacillus thuringiensis), growth regulators (IGRs) (lufenuron, diflubenzuron, methoxyfenozide). In addition, synergistic effects three synergists (Piperonyl butoxide (PBO), diethyl maleate (DEM), triphenyl phosphate (TPP) assessed, activities detoxification enzymes (acetylcholine esterase (AChE), cytochrome P-450 (CYP-450), carboxylesterase (CarE), glutathione-s-transferase (GST) also determined. Resistance surveillance revealed population showed moderate resistance to cypermethrin (RR = 5.75-fold), followed by spinosad 2.62-fold), lufenuron (2.01-fold). On other hand, exhibited only 3.65-fold). Our results emamectin benzoate was most effective insecticide, with an LC50 value 0.003 mg/L for 0.001 population, compared susceptible strain (0.005 mg/L). Among biological thuringiensis least toxic insecticide all tested strains. Synergism assays indicated DEM TPP had effect on (SR 8.00-fold both), PBO 5.71-fold) alone. The assay GST activity significantly (p < 0.05) increased in strains strain. However, no changes observed among CYP-450, CarE, or AChE. findings this study provide substantial insights into tracking managing development Egypt.

Over the last decade, essential oils (EOs) have become potential ingredients for insecticide formulations due to their widespread availability and perceived safety. Therefore, this study aimed evaluate toxicity biochemical efficacy of basil (Ocimum basilicum) (Lamiaceae) against two destructive pests Noctuidae, Agrotis ipsilon (Hufnagel) Spodoptera littoralis (Boisduval) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae). In addition, a molecular docking was performed gain insight into binding pattern between glutathione S-transferase (GST) linalool, main component EO. GC-MS analysis O. basilicum EO revealed that linalool is most abundant compound (29.34%). However, tests showed no significant difference values LC

Abstract Contamination of paddy soils with arsenic (As) can cause phytotoxicity in rice and increase the accumulation grains. The uptake As depends on different species present soil. Plants detoxify by conjugating sequestering xenobiotic compounds into vacuoles using various enzymes. However, severity damage induced arsenite (As(III)) arsenate (As(V)), as well roles glutathione S-transferase detoxifying these rice, are not fully understood. In this study, we developed plant materials overexpressing a gene OsGSTU40 under control maize UBIL promoter. Through systematic investigations both wild-type Nipponbare ( Oryza sativa L., ssp. japonica) overexpression lines chronic or acute stress As, aimed to understand toxic effects As(III) As(V) plants at vegetative growth stage. We hypothesized that (i) have (ii) played positive toxicity tolerance. Our results showed was more detrimental than terms growth, biomass, lipid peroxidation exposure. Furthermore, led better even though As(V), but As(III), shoots enhanced transgenic plants. stress, exhibited lower level element composition dominated treatments rather genotype, while concentration negatively correlated phosphorus silicon. Overall, our findings suggest is differentially affects reactions tolerance arsenic.

In this study, 2-chloro-N-(4-methoxyphenyl)acetamide (p-acetamide) and 2-(4-methoxyphenylamino)-2-oxoethyl methacrylate (MPAEMA) were resynthesized to evaluate their effect on the agricultural pest Galleria mellonella. The toxicities of p-acetamide MPAEMA against larval stage G. mellonella evaluated concurrently. results indicate that has a lethal insect larvae at lower doses. LC50 doses 873,572 687,355 uM, respectively. These values represent concentrations substances which 50% exposed them are expected die. molecular docking interactions with proteins superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GPx), glutathione-S-transferase (GST) analyzed. binding energy between was determined be -6.8 kcal/mol. This suggests may have an inhibitory could further investigated for developing pesticides target enzyme.
