Analgesics are one of the most widely used drug groups in world. Since genotoxic and carcinogenic effects some analgesic drugs have been detected, studies investigating these increased. In this study, Tenoxicam Piroxicam were investigated vitro human peripheral lymphocytes by chromosomal aberrations (CAs) micronucleus (MN) assays. addition, mitotic index (MI) nuclear division (NDI) values also determined. As a result, no difference abnormalities was observed both 24 48 hours treatment. Micronucleus frequency increased at three highest concentrations (0.94, 1.88 3.75 µg/mL) compared to control. significantly decreased MI control solvent µg/mL all exposure times. showed statistically significant increase concentration (10 μg/mL) h CA On other hand, effect 48-hour It concluded that tenoxicam did not cause toxic any except MN assay results. Mitotic 1.25, 2.5, 5 10 μg/mL. Nuclear results change for agents. conclusion, agents found be only high weak. This study is pioneering as there previous Tenoxicam. Post-harvest fungicides are frequently used on citrus peels to reduce post-harvest fungal contamination during the storage and transport of products. Despite these positive effects, can pose health risks consumers. The aim our study was perform a genotoxicological risk assessment imazalil, pyrimethanil, thiabendazole their mixtures as treatments. A Salmonella mutagenicity Ames test comet assay were performed detect reverse mutation assess DNA damage. Base-pair, frameshift mutations metabolic activity analyzed using test. In assay, lymphocytes treated with for 4 24 h. Thiabendazole found induce both base-pair in despite imzalil pyrimethanil (p < 0.05). DNA-strand breaks observed lymphocytes, mainly dimethyl-sulfoxide solvent long-term exposure consumption fruits vegetables increase developing genotoxic tumors. Our findings raise new questions about Further investigations essential explore effects peels.

Toxic contaminants, including pesticides, microplastics, and heavy metals, have a significant impact on aquatic life other species. These pollutants come from anthropogenic sources such as crop growing, industrial operations, effluent, residential wastewater, leaching, well environmental events like storms, floods, seismic processes. Pesticides, particularly been shown to detrimental effects ecology, causing decreased growth, restricted larvae embryo development, dysfunction in primary organs the gill, liver, kidney, gonad. Genotoxicity pesticide exposure raises safety concerns, prolonged can lead oxidative stress, mutagenicity, cellular apoptosis. Pesticide elevated levels, even without measurable concentrations biological matrices. The toxicity of pesticides directly affects life, leading high mortality rates or complete elimination species that serve their food source. To maintain well-being organisms, fish, protect ecosystems, it is crucial investigate safe, acceptable, efficient alternatives pesticides. In this study, we focuses hematological, biochemical, histopathological changes induced by highlights strategies for mitigating adverse impacts fish. Further investigation needed determine suitability detection, an essential aspect monitoring environments agricultural

Cancer remains a major global health burden, with incidence rates rising globally. The Arab world, which is often regarded as an underrepresented population in literature, shows distinct patterns cancer incidences, genetics, and outcomes comparison Western populations. This review aims to highlight key genomic studies conducted the world. We describe epidemiological genetic landscape of populations, focusing on lung, breast, colorectal cancers, given their prominence distinctive region. utilised data from GLOBOCAN 2022 published assess subregional trends, identify significant mutations, explore hereditary early-onset cancers profiles. Breast, dominate profile region, disparities alterations when compared trends. Variation EGFR mutation frequencies lung across diverse ethnicities MENA region representative extreme heterogeneity Variations BRCA1/2 frequency, unique founder mutations breast cancer's particular regional traits. Similarly, show variations mutational profiles, such low BRAF epigenetic characteristics that represent region-specific disease pathways. Early-onset particularly occur at higher than populations diverge typical germline reported emphasises importance conducting localised improving personalised medicine public strategies. Despite these efforts, gaps remain, understanding disorders, are overrepresented Further research basis essential for advancing treatment under-researched groups.

Exposure to pesticides in Arab countries is a significant public health concern due extensive agricultural activity and pesticide use. This systematic review aimed evaluate the genotoxic effects of exposure region, identify research gaps, assess methodological limitations. Following PRISMA guidelines, comprehensive search yielded five relevant studies conducted Egypt, Syria, Jordan. Various genotoxicity assays were employed, revealing higher level DNA damage exposed compared non-exposed individuals. Farmers exhibited significantly occurrence chromosomal translocation (t(14;18)), micronuclei, aberrations. However, only two assessed cytotoxicity indirectly. The predominantly focused on male participants, with variations sample size types. lack detailed data necessitates cautious interpretation. underscores need for further occupational Middle East. Future should adopt robust study designs, collect biological environmental samples, conduct repeated sampling, analyze seasonal variations, encompass diverse sites associated specific crop groups.

1. Abstract Objectives To systematically review and meta-analyse the genotoxic impact of prenatal early childhood pesticide exposure, investigating prevalence, specific pesticides, effect size, mechanisms, genetic susceptibility, vulnerable periods. Study Design A protocol for systematic meta-analysis. pilot study was also conducted to develop appropriate extraction risk bias tool. Methods Adhering 2020 PRISMA guidelines, will explore exposure in children up 5 years. The had been registered International Prospective Register Systematic Reviews (PROSPERO) database (CRD42024510877). Searches done across PubMed, EMBASE, Web Science, Scopus use keywords ‘prenatal or childhood’, ‘pesticides’, ‘genotoxicity’. Manual reference screening supplements searches. Eligible observational studies (cross-sectional, case-control, cohort designs) English be included, while excluding case reports vitro studies, using Covidence Two independent reviewers Newcastle-Ottawa Scale novel tool cross-sectional screening, data extraction, assessment. Findings synthesized narratively, with potential meta-analysis genotoxicity outcomes. GRADE approach assess evidence quality. Results test screened 1,405 resulting 21 eligible full-text screening. Twelve were excluded. Data assessment followed pre-defined protocols. informed refinement procedures. Conclusions outlines a comprehensive aiming provide necessary insights better understanding this environmental risk.
