Tris(2-chloroethyl) phosphate (TCEP), a prevalent organophosphorus flame retardant, has been identified in various environmental matrices and human blood samples, provoking alarm regarding its hematological toxicity, subject that not thoroughly investigated. Red cells (RBCs), or erythrocytes, are the predominant cell type peripheral crucial for maintenance of physiological health. This investigation employed oral gavage to examine effects TCEP exposure on erythrocyte counts mice clarify underlying mechanisms. The results demonstrated marked increase circulating RBC post-TCEP exposure, concomitantly heightening risk polycythemia vera (PV). stimulated erythropoiesis across all stages medullary development, including differentiation hematopoietic stem into erythroid progenitors, progression maturation erythrocyte. Moreover, potentiated extramedullary spleen liver. Subsequent bioinformatics analysis implied TCEP-induced was attributed p53 downregulation. Thus, these findings indicate disrupts erythrocyte-mediated homeostasis through enhancement both erythropoiesis, leading alteration equilibrium.

ABSTRACT Purpose To evaluate the current trends and spatiotemporal dynamics of microplastic research public health through a scientometric study from 2019 to 2024. Methods An observational descriptive approach was applied published literature on microplastics in January July A quantitative used analyze document production, author–country collaborations thematic evolution. comprehensive search Scopus database conducted using combination keywords related “microplastics” “public health.” Papers that explicitly addressed these topics were considered for analysis. SciVal R studio software analyses. Results Significant growth paper production observed, with an increase international collaboration diversity types. The most prominent journals this field include “Science Total Environment” “Journal Hazardous Materials”, which lead terms academic output impact. There upward trend number publications Q1 quartile, reflecting growing interest field. Several authors have demonstrated significant impact its health, highlighting importance further In addition, 156 sources 259 papers identified, richness evolution showed interesting changes focus over time, intersection such as “covid‐19” Conclusions These findings underscore relevance urgency suggest promising directions future research. increasing volume fields time reflects continuing health.
