Mycotoxins in cereals such as corn (Zea mays) threaten the consumer's health even low concentrations due to their high consumption. This study aimed detect concentration of aflatoxins (AFT) and Ochratoxin A (OTA) imported samples probabilistic human risk assessment. One hundred ninety were randomly collected from March 2022 April 2024. The AFT OTA was detected using high-performance liquid chromatography with a flame ionisation detector (HPLC-FID) ultraviolet (UV). rank order mycotoxins based on mean prevalence (3.16%) > AFB1(1.05%) AFG1(1.05%) ~ (1.05%) AFB2 (0.00%) AFG2(0.00%). (1.798 ug/kg) (1.231 AFB1 (1.090 ug/kg)> AFG1 (0.647 (< LOD) AFG2 LOD). Percentile 95% MOEs adults children consumers 4.89E + 6 1.40E 6, respectively, HQ 0.003 0.010, respectively. cancer risks 0.0007 0.0026, Consumption OTA's content does not endanger consumers' health.

Online SERS for in-process detection of aflatoxin in agricultural commodities DOI

Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) greatly increases signal intensity for aflatoxin B1 allowing detection of parts per billion (ppb) concentrations without sample preparation. This enhancement enables and quantification in real-time laborious preparation consuming hazardous chemical solvents extraction. Aflatoxins are produced by certain fungi that grow on many agricultural commodities, including corn, nuts, wheat, barley, other species. Consumption aflatoxin-contaminated foods can lead to severe health issues both humans livestock animals, such as liver damage, immune system suppression, reproductive issues.
