Aims: To provide an overview of vaccine adjuvants, with insights into the importance, classification, and use these substances in production technology. Methodology: An exploratory-descriptive literature review was carried out, a qualitative approach. The search guided by keywords (vaccine adjuvant, chemical composition vaccine, immunological aluminum salts + among others) conducted according to following criteria: original studies published during period between 2000 2024, available as full text; those using experimental clinical methodology were included. Results: Vaccine adjuvants play important role success technology used.
