The original SARS-CoV-2 lineages have been replaced by successive variants of concern (VOCs) over time. aim this study was to perform an assessment the placental infection according predominant variant at moment COVID-19 diagnosis. This a prospective SARS-CoV-2-positive pregnant women between March 2020 and 2022. population divided into pregnancies affected disease during (Pre-VOC group) after December (VOC group). presence virus assessed RT-PCR, viral determined whole genome sequencing. A total 104 placentas were examined, among which 54 cases belonged Pre-VOC group 50 VOC group. Sixteen positive RT-PCR tests for reported. NGS analysis confirmed lineage in placenta tissue. All samples corresponded group, whereas no detected (16, 29.6% vs. 0, 0.0% p = 0.000). Preterm birth (9, 16.7% 2, 4%; 0.036) hypertensive disorders pregnancy (14, 25.9% 3, 6%; 0.003) more frequent than Finally, composed 23 unvaccinated 27 vaccinated women; differences observed sub-analysis focused on vaccination status. In summary, only infected wildtype. Thus, could be influenced variants, timing, or According our data, current risk maternal COVID should updated.

Aim . To identify confounders and clinical symptoms of COVID-19 in low-risk pregnant women during the pandemics from 2020 to 2022. Materials Methods The study included with COVID-19: 1) those who have been admitted October-December (n = 163); 2) May-August 2021 158); 3) January-February 2022 160). Patients all groups were 3st trimester gestation comparable age (18–35 years), socioeconomic status, parity, body mass index, had no established risk factors for COVID-19. Therefore, aim this study was present associated SARS-CoV-2 infected critically ill women. Clinical status pregnancy-related features were analysed series 192 confirmed infection. According treatment outcome, divided two groups: group survivors deceased patients. A lethal outcome recorded seven cases. Pregnant presenting at admission more commonly X-ray-confirmed pneumonia, body temperature >38 °C, cough, dyspnea, fatigue. They likely have progression disease, be admitted intensive care unit, dependent from mechanical ventilation, nosocomial infection, pulmonary embolism, postpartum haemorrhage. On average, they early third trimester pregnancy, gestational hypertension preeclampsia. Initial clinical manifestations such fatigue, fever, could potent factors risk stratification prediction. Prolonged hospitalization, ICU admission, hospital-acquired infections require strict microbiological surveillance should constant reminder rational antibiotics use. Background. During the three years of new coronavirus infection (NCI) pandemic, young women low infectious risk made a certain contribution to severe maternal morbidity and mortality from COVID-19. Aim. To establish factors for give clinical assessment COVID-19 during epidemic outbreaks in 2020, 2021, 2022 low-risk pregnant women. Materials methods. The study included groups with clinically manifested laboratory-confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection: 163 who became ill first wave October-December 158 second third July October 160 fourth JanuaryFebruary 2022. Each comparison group 100 did not become same periods pandemic. Patients all were III trimester gestation, comparable age (1835 years), social status, parity, body mass index, had no known Results. Iron-deficiency anemia, tobacco smoking, belonging East Asian ethnic showed stable association incidence women. In year pandemic (strains zero Alpha), presentation NCI was dominated by loss smell and/or taste (87.7%), drowsiness (68.7%), dyspnea even mild degree lung damage (68.1%). epidemics (Delta strain) characterized more course disease than year: fever often reported above 38C (19.6% vs 7.4%; p2=0.006), pneumonia confirmed computed tomography (61.4% 21.4%; p20.001), (CT-3: 11.4% 4.9%; p2=0.040; CT-4: 0 6.3%; p20.05), intensive care unit admission (11.4% 6.4%; p2=0.041); there cases invasive mechanical ventilation (1.89% 0; p2=0.118) deaths (0.63% p2=0.492). (Omicron strain), similar seasonal acute respiratory viral predominant symptoms runny nose (66.7%) cough (54.4%); rare (3.8%). Conclusion. Iron deficiency are confounders without factors. Unlike dominant zero, Alpha, Omicron strains, caused Delta strain most course, high rate patients.
