Maternal immunization is a valuable tool for protecting mother and unborn child from vaccine-preventable diseases. However, the implementation of strategies vaccinating pregnant women has only recently gained traction. This work aimed at providing an overview European vaccination gathering evidence on interventions enhancing knowledge, attitudes, behaviors (KAB) in women. To summarize current pregnancy Europe, we consulted literature, institutional national health system websites, ECDC Vaccine Scheduler. The review targeting women's KAB was performed by searching primary studies PubMed Web Science. 27 EU member states offer various vaccinations pregnancy, but 10 recommend all these: tetanus, pertussis, diphtheria, influenza, COVID-19, albeit with different administration schedules. literature included 7 studies, 3 Italy 4 other countries (UK, Netherlands, Greece, Poland, Ukraine). They were conducted settings such as childbirth preparation courses, prenatal visits, online platforms, educational information vaccine safety efficacy during pregnancy. Knowledge about vaccines diseases, generally low pre-intervention period, increased post-intervention, rise awareness risks associated infectious diseases recommended vaccines, reduction vaccine-related misinformation, greater propensity to vaccinate both newborns themselves. Furthermore, there significant increase adherence vaccinations, particularly among those higher levels. hesitancy persisted, influenced factors fear adverse events lack recommendations healthcare providers. Variations across Europe emphasize importance establishing unified framework optimize maternal fetal outcomes through evidence-based policies. Educational may positively impact KAB, therefore promoting uptake.
