As for other vaccines, vaccination hesitancy may be a determining factor in the success (or otherwise) of COVID-19 immunization campaign healthcare workers (HCWs).To estimate proportion HCWs Italy who expressed vaccine hesitancy, we conducted systematic review relevant literature and meta-analysis. Determinants compliance options suggested by these studies to address among were also analyzed. Seventeen included meta-analysis review, selected from scientific articles available MEDLINE/PubMed, Google Scholar Scopus databases between 1 January 2020 25 2022. The rate was 13.1% (95%CI: 6.9-20.9%). investigated before during 18.2% (95%CI = 12.8-24.2%) 8.9% 3.4-16.6%), respectively. That main reasons hesitation lack information about vaccination, opinion that is unsafe, fear adverse events.Despite strategies achieve greater willingness immunize this category, mandatory appears one most important measures can guarantee protection patients they care for.

It is well known that, to be effective, vaccination programs require a high and consistent population uptake. Nevertheless, vaccine coverage often insufficient. University students occupy unique position within the broader population: they are highly mobile socially active individuals who serve as influential figures among their peers younger age groups, making them an ideal target for educational campaigns. This review (CRD42022309724) quantified intention rates routine immunizations in university systematically examined determinants of acceptance. Cross-sectional studies that analyzed at least one immunization using multivariable logistic regression were included. We used random-effects models calculate pooled proportions intention. Determinants categorized into contextual factors (such socio-demographic, economic cultural factors), individual/group knowledge, awareness, peer opinions, infection risk perceptions) vaccine-specific issues effectiveness policies). Thirty-six articles included: 29 on human papilloma virus (HPV) seven influenza vaccine. The proportion intending get vaccinated was 54% (95% CI: 47-60%) HPV 43% 26-61%) influenza. strongest positive factors, such higher knowledge pro-vaccine personal experience with vaccinations, perception infection, previous history By contrast, influences played minor role both while concerns, particularly about costs availability, negatively influenced vaccines. Given suboptimal towards we found, addressing key determinants, awareness risks benefits, essential increase acceptance achieve coverage.

Vaccination appears to be one of the effective strategies control COVID-19 pandemic. However, challenge vaccine hesitancy may lower uptake rate and affect overall efficacy. Being a low-risk group in terms serious consequences infection, university students possess low motivation get vaccinated. Therefore, an expanded Protection Motivation Theory (PMT) incorporating perceived knowledge, adaptive response, maladaptive response was proposed investigate vaccination intention among Taiwanese students. University (n = 924; 575 males; mean age 25.29 years) completed online survey during January February 2021. The PMT model examined using structural equation modeling (SEM). results showed that knowledge significantly associated with coping appraisal (standardized coefficient (β) 0.820; p < 0.001), (β 0.852; 0.300; 0.001) 0.533; 0.009). Moreover, -0.173; but not 0.148; 0.482) negatively intention. present study's demonstrated positive path between appraisal, improving this population increase vaccine.

Universities are considered high risk areas for COVID-19 outbreaks given the crowded environment of campuses with mobility and limited space. As such, vaccination is an essential intervention that could greatly reduce incidence spread this deadly infectious disease. However, willingness college students to receive vaccine varies significantly. Therefore, a study on acceptance vaccines in explores attitudes, knowledge, willingness, key factors influencing great significance improve coverage control pandemic. A cross-sectional survey was conducted from three universities China. Descriptive statistics, independent sample t tests/one-way ANOVA (normal distribution), Mann-Whitney U tests/Kruskal-Wallis H tests (skewness distribution) multivariate linear regression were performed. result, total 3,256 participated survey. Students' (86%), they had good knowledge (77.9%). low-risk perception less positive attitudes toward (69.8%). The main sex, age, specialty, grades, living environment, spending level, traveling areas, family members' experiences.
