The complex interactions from anthropogenic activities, climate change, sedimentation and the input of wastewater has significantly affected aquatic environment entire ecosystem. Over years, researchers have investigated water monitoring approaches in terms traditional or even integrated systems to handle such an environmental assessment predictions based on warning systems. However, research into selection optimisation by combination parallel approach sampling techniques, process analysis results is limited. objectives present study are evaluate existing latest then provide insights factors affecting sensor implementation at locations. Here we summarize advancement trends various as well suitability placement area reviewing more than 300 papers published between 2011 2022. highlights urgency integrative with regard including quality model quantity model. A framework proposed incorporate all approaches, predictive models comprehensive information about assessment. It was observed that model-based verification fusion data assemble ability improve performances Furthermore, inclusion a separate modeling through - semi-mechanistic models, science artificial intelligence recommended future. Overall, this provides guidelines for achieving standardized management implementing

Urban Blue (like lakes, rivers and streams) Green Areas parks or woods), UBGAs, provide natural areas within cities, potentially contributing to a better health wellbeing (H&W) of citizens. However, if degraded these ecosystems pose potential risk for human health. Understanding the role UBGAs in citizens' is crucial developing sustainable cities under One Health framework, particularly vulnerable citizens like older adults, which hasn't been clearly demonstrated. To fill this gap amplify existing evidence, we searched studies published between 2011 2021 (WoS PubMed). Our revision indicates that urban benefit H&W. The 174 selected were mostly from developed countries, addressing mainly green areas, forests (86%), while few focused on blue (3%). Perceived tends increase proportion with proximity UBGAs. Larger positively associated physical activity negatively depression. A higher Normalized Difference Vegetation Index was lower mortality. Physical often used surrogate may lead several bias, as it doesn't distinguish effect biodiverse Most indicators quantity UGBAs (e.g., size, number). Yet, also investigate influence quality aspects (i.e., ecological quality, biodiversity conservation status), affects supply ecosystem services relevant

The health of watershed ecology is mutually constrained by the sustainable development regional economy and society, assessment helps to identify ecological status quo. As one "ethnic corridors", Bailong River has become a region human solid interference. Therefore, this study constructed an indicator evaluation system reflect rivers' natural attributes functionality analyzing candidate indicators' sensitivity, principal components, independence. weight indicators was determined using Analytic Hierarchy Process combined with expert opinions. evaluated through field monitoring data, restoration suggestions were proposed. results show that River's comprehensive score 58.27, indicating sub-health. includes thirteen indicators, which 53.84% are in ideal state, 15.39% healthy, 7.69% sub-health, unhealthy, pathological, weak spatial heterogeneity. guidelines state "cleanliness" "service" ideal, "circulation" "life" "physical structure" worrying. Based on this, protection future should focus following aspects: improving methods theories, restoring habitat environment river, ensuring water quantity, quality, conserving fish species. This can provide necessary theoretical support for severely disturbed water-deficient rivers lakes northern China.

With global warming, urbanization, and the intensification of human activities, great pressures on river ecosystems have caused ecosystem degradation, decline in habitats biodiversity, loss function. Ecological restoration technologies (ERTs) rivers are effective measures for improving habitat which has advantage recovering biodiversity promoting formation healthy rivers. Several applications ERTs, including ecological water transfer, fish passage construction, dam removal/retrofit, channel reconfiguration, geomorphological restoration, natural shoreline floodplain reconnection, revegetation, etc., summarized. The classifications ERTs highlighted, aiming to distinguish difference relationship between structure processes hydrology, physics, geography, biology. pros cons these discussed identify applicability limitations ecosystem. In dynamic river, interact with each other keep balance. more helpful function contribute management health. Some proposals suggested. Establishing a unified health evaluation system will help promote positive feedback further development ERTs.
