Soil health is the basis of ecological and food security for humanity. Among informative indicators soil are microbiological based on intensity carbon dioxide release from soil. The reaction microbial community Haplic Chernozem Loamic, Arenosols Eutric, Cambisols Eutric to contamination with oxides nitrates Ag, Bi, Tl, Te at doses 0.5, 1, 3, 10, 30 derived specific permissible concentrations (SPC) was analyzed in conditions a vegetation experiment (the exposure period 10 days). One concentration assumed be equal three background element content biomass varied between experimental options 6 218 mg/kg soil; Arenosols, 3 349 Cambisols, 7 294 Microbial more sensitive indicator by studied pollutants than basal respiration. A decrease respiration found when were contaminated Te, Tl oxides. had significant toxic effect each type At maximum dose nitrate, 56-96% relative control an increase metabolic coefficient 4-6 times found. toxicity series heavy metals averaged all types soils terms activity established: Bi > Ag (oxides) (nitrates). Nitrates elements due dependent particle size distribution, organic matter content, structure. sensitivity changes pollutants: Chernozems Cambisols. When diagnosing assessing it advisable use activity.

Sustainable agriculture is only possible if the agroecological services of soil are preserved. Soil contamination with rare elements such as silver (Ag), bismuth (Bi), tellurium (Te), and thallium (Tl) less studied, but their toxicity no high than in other heavy metals. Activity enzymes great importance for healthy functioning soils, agroecosystem services, fertility. It necessary to assess ecological state black using most sensitive informative indicators soils—their enzymatic activity. The objective this research was evaluate changes activity five priority (catalase, dehydrogenases, invertase, phosphatase, urease) when contaminated oxides nitrates Ag, Bi, Te, Tl a laboratory model experiment. integral assessed by integrated index A comparison each element, according activity, allowed us establish that Ag oxide more toxic nitrate; Bi equivalent its Te nitrates. When oxides, invertase urease (Bi, Tl), phosphatase (Te). nitrates, (Ag) Tl, Te). catalase least sensitive.

Soil contamination with such rare heavy metals as silver (Ag), bismuth (Bi), tellurium (Te), and thallium (Tl) leads to disruption of its agricultural ecological functions. Each these has a different level soil toxicity, which affects the state recovery degree estimated by biological indicators. The work objective is assess ecotoxicity oxides nitrates silver, bismuth, tellurium, indicators Haplic Chernozem. Under conditions laboratory simulation experiment, were introduced into samples soil. for each incubation period was assessed activity enzymes (catalase dehydrogenases), intensity seed development in polluted (the length shoots roots winter wheat), microbiological total number bacteria Azotobacter sp. abundance). For 90 days, when contaminated thallium, most sensitive indicator wheat roots; nitrates, indicator. informative both chemical forms elements (silver, thallium) abundance. ecotoxic among those studied form nitrates. results study may be useful biomonitoring diagnostics soils thallium.

Lead (Pb) is one of the most hazardous heavy-metal pollutants in environment. However, resistance different soils and ecosystems to Pb pollution varies greatly. In present study, comparative assessment contamination forest, forest-steppe, steppe, mountain-meadow Central Ciscaucasia Caucasus regions was conducted. There were 10 types subtypes objects from which selected for this study. The laboratory modeling effect chemical soil with lead (II) oxide (PbO) at concentrations, 100, 1000, 10,000 mg/kg, introduced into check microbiological, biochemical, phytotoxic properties after 30 days incubation. Soil stress assessed by degree decrease sensitive informative biological indicators condition. It has been found that forest-steppe steppe showed a greater than forest soils. regional maximum permissible concentration (rMPC) developed first time, according violation ecosystem functions forecast maps deterioration condition during variable concentrations regions.

Enzymatic activity of soils is the most important diagnostic indicator ecological state under various types anthropogenic impact. The aim study was to evaluate enzymatic common chernozem (Haplic Chernozem) Ag, Bi, Te, and Tl contamination. 10 enzymes (catalase, dehydrogenase, peroxidase, polyphenol oxidase, ascorbate ferrireductase, protease, phosphatase, invertase urease) were analyzed. According degree inhibition enzymes, heavy metals form following sequence: Ag Bi Te. With an increase in concentration metals, toxic effect on increases. oxidoreductases showed greater sensitivity contamination than hydrolases. Among oxidoreductases, highest found for lowest oxidase. hydrolase class, sensitive, urease least sensitive. When contaminated with has informative value, when Tl, oxidase are informative. oxidoreductase informativeness phosphatase results can be used assess Te Tl.
