This research explores the neurobiology of emotional regulation using multimodal imaging techniques and its clinical implications for psychiatric disorders. Through a systematic literature review, we examine key findings from neuroimaging studies investigating neural circuits underlying across diverse populations contexts. We discuss consistent divergent findings, methodological challenges, therapeutic derived these studies. Additionally, identify gaps in current suggest future directions, including need longitudinal studies, exploration individual differences regulation, integration with other methodologies. Furthermore, challenges opportunities advancing field studying emphasizing importance continued interdisciplinary research. Overall, this underscores significance understanding relevance improving mental health outcomes developing personalized interventions individuals

The furniture market is being conquered by the variety of wood-based composite materials to detriment solid wood, which considered expensive, but research has yet explain definitively why these two receive such disparate evaluations. This study aims evaluate perception wood proposing an emotion-oriented method. It combines esthetic appeal products, subjective emotions subjects, and physiological emotions. We evaluated different using a multisensory evaluation method that vision touch during experiment. Seven specimens three covered with synthetic veneer similar characteristics were evaluated, we used evaluations responses (electroencephalography electrodermal activity) from twenty participants. Our analysis identified significant correlations between assessment responses, highlighting influence material appearance on emotional reactions. Notably, rough-textured elicited higher positive affectivity than smooth-textured ones, bright associated more elucidates impact components offering insights into processing techniques enhance value product design.

This systematic literature review explores the neurobiological underpinnings of emotional regulation through lens multimodal imaging techniques, including fMRI, PET, EEG, and MEG. Key findings highlight significant roles prefrontal cortex (PFC), amygdala, hippocampus, insula in emotions, revealing intricate neural interactions neurotransmitter involvement. Individual differences are linked to variations brain structure function, emphasizing importance personalized therapeutic approaches. The underscores potential enhance our understanding circuits networks involved regulation, despite current methodological challenges. implications for clinical practice profound, offering pathways early diagnosis, targeted interventions, improved mental health outcomes. calls continued interdisciplinary research address remaining gaps further integrate insights into effective treatments dysregulation.
