Abstract Introduction: The Peruvian public healthcare system is characterized by various shortcomings that adversely affect quality as perceived the general and minority populations, including Afro-Peruvian community. This population has demonstrated reduced access due to discrimination differential treatment, reflecting broader societal inequities. Objective: study explores experiences perceptions of individuals regarding treatment they receive from primary providers in metropolitan Lima. Furthermore, participants perceive receiving inefficient service not only but also presents difficulties other processes, getting appointment. Conclusions: highlights significant areas improvement system, specifically enhancing care, improving communication, upgrading infrastructure serve community better. These insights could guide development targeted policy recommendations practical interventions address disparities improve populations.

The aim of this study is to analyse the first level health care in Peru and international its implications for public policy.
