Two-dimensional metal-organic-framework (2D-MOF) materials have emerged as a new class of functional 2D material. Compared to bulk crystals, 2D-MOFs are easily derivatized, highly porous, and sufficient active sites. While considerable research interest, they also efficient candidates for multiple applications in variety fields owing their numerous advantages. The ability separate analyze chiral compounds is greatly significant progressing human society, chromatographic separation widely used this regard its high resolution sensitivity. Few reports on the use chromatographic-separation currently exist, those gas chromatography enantiomers even rarer. Unsurprisingly, development novel stationary phases has become popular topic chiral-chromatography field. In study, 2D-MOF nanosheets (Co-BDC-NH2) were synthesized using surfactant-assisted solvothermal method. subsequently characterized by scanning electron microscopy X-ray diffractometry. MOFs can be post-synthetically modified without affecting frameworks, such modifications lead construction MOFs. Accordingly, Co-BDC-NH2 was with glycyl-L-aspartic acid glycyl-L-glutamic ligands afford two nanosheets, namely Co-BDC-NH2-glycyl-L-aspartic Co-BDC-NH2-glycyl-L-glutamic acid. These Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, circular dichroism, thermogravimetric analysis. nanosheet coating them onto prepared capillary columns dynamic method; process leaves homogeneous layer inner wall column. Scanning confirmed that had been successfully prepared. finally tested through gas-chromatography-separation experiments. Theoretical plates evaluate column efficiency. determined 3538 3108 N/m theoretical plates, respectively, which implies these efficient. McReynolds constant determine polarity phase column; exhibited constants 181 208, consistent medium polarity. good abilities resolve positional isomers racemates (especially amino-acid derivatives), seven identified column, eight addition, former separated mixed n-alkanes, n-alcohols, Grob mixtures. we augmented groups effective gas-chromatography applications. study expands applicability separation.
