Abstract High‐entropy materials (HEMs) including oxide versions like (CeGdHfPrZr)O 2 are emerging multifunctional with alluring properties and versatile applications across various fields, environmental science. This review aims to pragmatically present a critical analysis of the latest findings on photocatalytic application HEMs for degradation different harmful organic pollutants in aqueous media. Notably, over 70% efficiency majority published research, it can be inferred that revolutionary pollutant remediation. Furthermore, was shown spent may readily recycled retain while maintaining original structural integrity up 2–20 cycles. Our suggests synergy between multi‐metallic components make HEMs, higher oxygen vacancies (OV), lower e−/h + recombination reason exceptional cyclic stability. Additionally, study effect co‐existing ions demonstrated great potential practical applications. Also, electron trapping/radical‐scavenging studies revealed •O − (which facilitate demethylation / de‐ethylation ) is biggest player using followed by •OH radicals then h .
