As the supply chains have become complex and more endurable, there is a need to optimize CLSC enhance efficiency of firm. Thus, this research proposes method that uses Fuzzy Goal Programming (FGP) plus Symmetric Triangle Membership Functions (STMF) capture stochastic compromised nature systems facilitate decision-making. The proposed approach applies FGP for dealing with one or often conflicting objectives in CLSC, such as minimizing costs, maximizing customers’ satisfaction, increasing environmental responsibility. These are used work vague chain factors goals give clearer picture uncertainty than possible ordinary membership functions. This illustrated through case study multi-echelon network using novel model STMF. findings also show adopted here can address several objectives, namely, cost containment footprint, volatilities inherent business context. properties enable definition wide range contingencies decision-making improvements response time whenever priorities parameters variable uncertain. concept brings unique closed-loop design fulfills needs decision-makers who make decisions based on both tangible & intangible sides chain. it revealed by adopting STMFs into model, systems' optimality provide workable solutions toward sustainability networks.
