The main objective of this study was to analyze engineering students' perceptions scientific writing and gamification.A semi-structured questionnaire with five open-ended questions on gamification applied 400 students at a Peruvian university.The methodological design mixed.For the quantitative analysis, frequency analysis responses performed.For qualitative Atlas ti software used.The results from approach indicate that predominant conception in is related research publication results, 135 (33.75%); likewise, essay indicated as most recurrent textual genre 147 (36.75%); frequent difficulty search verification information 96 (24%).From approach, it found emphasize not only academic aspect relation importance writing, but also process knowledge, research, science technology.Likewise, regarding evaluation given by use teaching mostly positive evaluative judgments were found.It concluded perceived motivating innovative strategy for students.
